I think that Ric is right on here--- This is a pretty cool find imho. Marble--On!!

OK Ric, Imagine a piece of candy cane. They are cut from a cane of sweet stuff one is right--the next is left--just a natural thing and it depends on what side you are looking at--the top or the bottom. This is my best once again Ric. Marble--On!!

Lady Gaga--what a prize and what a story behind the scenes. I am a big Lady-Gaga Fan! Marble--On!!
-
Ric, Thanks for asking--- I think that these are all are in the mix as far as "common" goes--the #300 may be a harder find. Bigger box--more likely to be damaged is my opinion. I backfill these with Ox Patches which is correct to a point. The OG boxes did include them like this--the others had just boring Patch types. These boxes are hard to find with the original marbles and poutch--If I find one with the correct poutch--I bid. Marble--On!!

Good eye Disco you are right on. (I think that it is dark green) Marble--On!!

I just love this stuff and I hope that you all do as well. Thanks for all that you do to make this a great place to visit. Marble--On and happy Easter weekend--be safe as well. Art--the fartš -

I get it Dave. When you find these, put a rubberband around them to keep then from knocking against each otherš. Wave Breakers? Very cool indeed---a first for me. Marble--On!!

If you like beans--well, you know I do! Try this one out--I could eat it cold. Provencal White Beans 4 (15 ounce) cans great northern white beans or Cannellini (which I prefer for some reason) 1 quart chicken stock 1/4 cup olive oil 2 cups chopped yellow onions 1 cup medium-diced carrots 1 cup medium-diced celery 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley, plus extra for garnish 2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary 2 tablespoons minced fresh thyme 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Pour beans with their liquid and chicken stock into a large saucepan, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until tender but not mushy, about 15 minutes. Drain, reserving the stock. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over low heat. Add onions, diced carrots, and celery, and cook until tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in parsley, rosemary, thyme, and garlic, and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add beans and 2 cups of reserved cooking stock to the skillet. If you don't have enough liquid, add additional stock or water to make 2 cups. Simmer until the stock is reduced and makes a little sauce, about 15 minutes. Add more stock if necessary. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped parsley to serve. YUMMMM!!!

Great stuff Ric, Because of this post we will all be watching out. I just love this stuff--folks sharing the wisdom and experience. I think that the OP is a "Shimmering Spruce" howeverš. One of the very few that intended on having AV in the green. Marble--On!!

I do not recall a Vacor this size packaged alone--maybe a Canadian thing? Do you have any examples? Were they packed in nets? Cool stuff imho--- @Al Oregon? @Melissa? Marble--On!!

I believe that it has to do with the cutting device used. Some older machines were single cutoff where the knives cut and came back to make another cut. Some machines cut one way and then back again to make another cut and this would explain a reverse in the pattern. It would have to be 50-50 as a result. This is my best Ric but I can imagine it going--- (in my head at least.) Perhaps Peltier changed the direction of their cutoff knives at some point? MarbleāOn!!

I do not blame you here William--it is a bit of weird but I think a WVS. There does appear to be some "opal" involved also. Lets ask @cheese for an opinion here. Marble--On!!
-
I would call this one a Vitro Tri-Lite. Of course, I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Your images are just the tops! Marble--On!!
-
Vitro--a "Tri Lite" imho. Nice one! @Ric knows these very well and will straighten me out if I am off base here. @Melissa also knows her Vitro--lets knock on her door as well. Marble--On!!

Ooo----buzz-kill Ric. Do you have any to share? I would love to see some for sure. @Nantucketdink? Marble--On!!

The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...
akroorka replied to bumblebee's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
It is not an original imho but when I cilck on the image and get a deep look at it, the design looks raised instead of imbedded. The wood is interesting as well--I want to call it Black Walnut--but this seems wrong. Kinda weird really. It almost looks handmade. A cool find none the less. Marble--On!! -
Anacortes Washington was once the headquarters of Vitro manufacturing marbles. This one looks like it wanted to be round imho----very cool!! A Keeper for sure!! MarbleāOn!!

6:00 PM Fire--Central Time. We always eat at home--or Taco Bell once in a great whileš. I get the big 12 bunch of Tacos--6 soft and six crunchy--my wife gets what she likesš¤¢. Hot sauce to the max. Yumm. Maybe this weekend, I will be prepping for Easter on Saturday for Sunday. A #14 Ham and all of the fixins included. I just love this stuff!!

Welcome "TheNewToMarblesGuy" to "TheMarbleConnection". You will not get a bad ID here--just some discussion. The original post of your marbles show all Jabo "Classics" with the exception of one--the middle lower one(wvs imho)--the one to the left may be a Pelt--maybe. The folks here have stepped up and tried to help for sure. You can agree to dissagree for sure and we can all accept that. Live and learn--we all have and you have to step in line here and show a few at a time and take your lumps. I expect anyone that is passionate about marble ID to take a stand--but one at a time my marble collecting friend--please. I will for one, will not put up with this one getting too aggressive. Marble--On!!
