The "Score!" thread. Post your exciting finds here...

Funny how many angles wee see a bird at. I see a "Pileated" Woodpecker--- Marble--On!! -
This one reminds me of the type found in the Murmeln bags from europe. They seem to all be in the 3/4" size and I have noticed that the transparent on some of these seem to have some redish "bleed" involved like yours. Marble--On!!

This one is from Jabo imho. Not an investor run, a production run. These big ones are hard to find without little white hit marks--nice find. Marble--On!!

In hand this one needs for sure-- I still think that it is a Pelt-- Marble--On!!

My wife found this one in the dirt today--yes--no snow. It is either a Jabo or one of those pesky Vitros from Washington. I like them all--especially a gift from my better side. Marble--On!!

Nice "Wet" Vitro Conqueror! Marble--On!!

Your images are a bit bright so bear with me. The Popeye that you show may be a light blue or “baby blue” as I call them. These are not an easy find if that is what you have there. The colors varied quite a bit in all of the Popeye colors available. This one may be a mix. The “Germans” are nice any time that you find any “Lutz” or sparkle in them. I cannot tell with the top one but the lower one appears to have some included. “Back In the day” the Germans were the first collectable marbles and a-bit-o damage was acceptable for sure. Nice score! Marble—On!!

My first impression is Vacor--a nice one! I cannot ID it as far as a name will go. Marble--On!!

Consider the damage here treetiger, this one shows a well tempered or harder glass, with the chips and the hit marks. The Jabo were soft and more prone to little white hit marks from the manufacturing and baggin/shipping proccess. This is a good reason to call this one an older WVS imho. More opinions are needed and welcomed. Marble--On!!

Bullseye X3. This is one of those that I consider "Harder to find". Nice--very thick veneering. I will post a few below for your consideration. I hunt for these with little success. I believe that you can find this type lacking veneering as well. Al, have you ever seen these "thicker" veneered marbles in a bag? Marble--On!!

Vitro X2--Type one "Tiger Eye"? Marble--On!!

Alan, the grooves did serve a purpose, helping to spin the molten glass. I cannot disagree with what you have said--more than likely, imho, these spinner cups broke off of the foundation due to the heat and were replaced. Carbon is very heat insensitive but it will break down over time. The likely culprit is the way that these cups were attached. Marble--On!! We all appreciate your input teajayo--but. The reason that Akro used carbon is because molten glass will not stick to it. Marble—On!!

Nice hunt and find Chad--I know the feeling when you find something so simple yet hard to find. I call them pouches when they look like this, most folks call them bags though. Uncle Wip? Funky for sure! I have never seen another and I do not have any idea what it was intended for--marbles as far as I am concerned--until corrected of course. Marble--On!!
