Great! That’s what I do all the time. Not so much marbles but minerals (smoke quartz, carnelian, jade, jasper etc.) and guitar picks. Always guitar picks.

Thank you!

Yes, cat eye love. I have a couple of those deep blue ones and I find them tricky to capture sometimes. There is something about the reflection of the blue that makes the clear glass cluttered.

… but I’ve had these three in my pocket for a couple of days and I just felt like taking few photos before they went back in the cat’s eye jar.

I feel confident enough to agree; Marble King.

Another Benoît Brisefer. He is called "Starke Staffan" in Swedish, which translates to "Strong Staffan" or "Staffan the strong". First frame: He is, in short, a boy like many others... - Now I'm going to play marbles! Great fun! Second frame: .... but with a very important difference... Third frame: Staffan (Benoît) is strong! -
Maybe I'm overthinking this but I still want to ask the question. I suppose that a logic choice would be to sort marbles by manufacturing company but are there any of you who are also sorting your marbles based on where you got them from or even who gave them to you?

That looks like a great site! Thank you. I will read and compare.

Ok! I recognized and saw similarities in other MK:s that I posted here. How do the newer style MK:s differ from what then might be called the old style?

There we go. Thank you @Ric and @Al Oregon. 👍🏼 Funny though, how the label on my bag doesn’t say ”Made in Taiwan”.

Thanks you @dannyboy and @Ric! Where might we be in time? Early 1900's? Naked, solid core swirl... Oh, behave.

Have you ever seen och heard of ”Bell” glass marbles? I found these at… you guessed it, at a flea market. Since the bag was sealed I thought: Why not? I’m guessing that they are Asian made. Maybe China, maybe because of the bell logo’s red and yellow colours, like the Chinese flag. Just a gut feeling. All clearies except for one that has a thin black stripe in it.

I found this yesterday at a flea market. It’s worn and chipped but the core is amazing with orange, white, dark blue and dark purple. It’s definitively hand made and showing pontil marks at both ends. What do you say? There is a set of four regular photos and then a set of four photos where the marble is submerged in water. The diameter is about 18 mm.

Since the normal body temperature of geese is somewhere between 39°C and 42°C, the marbles may come out as Heaton’s…

Thanks, Ric! It will surely be interesting to see what comes up. -
It’s a hit! Maybe a power ballad… or an Irish jig…
