  1. I polished some of my marbles. I'd bought a machine all set up with grit and couldn't wait to get started. Soo, I began grinding the chips out it, seemed amazing. It takes several stages of grinding and polishing. After a few corkscrews, some common swirls, a few Peltiers, Spiderman and Liberty things changed so much, i decided they were better off as original and chipped, the grinding caused the pattern to change too unrecognizable. For me, polished makes it worse. with German cane cut antiques, once the pontil begins to fade, it's ruined. With remelting restorations you get tiny bubbles where cracks and moons are, for me, there's no up side;' waisted resources.
  2. Chris Robinson contemporary marbles 1994 The road and tunnel slag is a distinctive new style of marble which relates directly back to the first machine made marbles of the 20th century. This was a transition period when efforts were being made to move from handmade marbles to machine made marbles. Like those earlier transition marbles the road and tunnel slags are hand gathered, hand sheared and then rounded on a simple machine. The road and tunnel is a complex personal signature as those in the early hand gathered marbles. The swirling lines are as distinctive as the "9" of M.F. Christensen Co. or the turkey and diaper fold in the marbles from the Christensen Agate Co. When you view the marble directly at the cut off point, the series of lines from the lower right side forms the impression of a road approaching a tunnel. The tunnel is a series (upside down u shaped lines) above the cutoff point. A typical example looks the tunnel on one side of the cut with the road on other side of cutoff. These were made by Chris Robinson in 1994 and are between 1 1/8" to 1 1/4".
  3. Hispanic SW Florida goes wild with aerials at the strike of midnight or zero AM Christmas morning. Then follow it up on Jan 1 at zero AM. Funny Christmas I felt the other night. I had never thought before, for all the explosives like an anti-silent night with all the chaos/wars these days, while families are blowing up the city and more. I would not want to stop the play time, but it felt wrong, Go figure.
  4. As it has been since 2001 or 2 whenever Clyde T got the marble from me, and I'd made that flame photo. That style of photography was my creation, back then with Adobe Photoshop 5.0. The red is the same transparent you can see at cut off, (Center right) same ribbon and it is blending into the white, the white has some beige blending, and the yellow is like butter, yet for such a long time I hesitated to try and be so bold as to say exact match, but for such doubt, I blew up the original photo and checked. Hummm, they don't get any closer. However, and 'Jelly Nougat' is the white, yellow, and red Alley' comparably, are hardly the same. Not to insult, but: 😈 [Humor] Put another quarter in the slot and try again. 😑
  5. No, in retrospect as a cutting board then, that's probably maple.
  6. IDK maybe Spruce wood in the background. As much wood I've finished in my life, I've never realized how yellow it could be until now. The yellow in these marbles nearly look as if it's clear because there's almost no contrast between the wood and glass as it's tricking my brain. If these are not recent, like DAS or the like, they might be CAC. I can not be sure if CAC or not but here's CAC's 3 color set, like them:
  7. The Pewees? It has been over 20 years since I took this photo, and or touched them so, I forgot the exact sizes. I do not think any are 1/2" or less, but more like averaging around 17/32 too 9/16 (Pontal included). Does that make them Not Pewees? I do not think so. Rather, what you see is what you get: A whole factory-made box of pewees. I think the pewee 1/2" or less rule becomes disqualified when all are mixed in the original set. I mean, alternatively, would you call it, not pewees? I seriously doubt that.
  8. While there may not be a special name for the yellow and red marble, it is quite unique because red is mixed inside and floating on the surface.
  9. Oh! I have the old Vacor clay marbles. IDK how I missed it on Steph's vacor video. In 1984 my little family and I, (Me, wife and 2 year old daughter) were traveling across the states. Somewhere just past (Location edited) New Mexico, on I-40, in nowhere land, there was a small old church, which was turned into an antique store. It had a gallon tin can half filled with clay marbles for 10 cents each. Because I'd heard a rumor that people were collecting marbles I bought a handful of 10. I had seen these as a kid, my older by 2 years, brother thought they were, like, WWI era for their old utilitarian and dull type of colors. I have been wondering, looking to identify these ever since. As a collector, they were the first marbles to which means whenever I first began collecting toy marbles. Missed this the first time, these clay marbles in Steph's Vacor video are the answer to my quest for all those years.
  10. German Stiped transparent, German double tunnel and CAC road and tunnel. You have a German-striped transparent (ST) which is like CAC stripped transparents but are different, not to be confused with a CAC. In short, CAC is more appealing. From what I have seen, it appears that older German ST's (Striped Transparents) may look just like CAC too., it's just a little tricky sorting them. Here is a sampling where the large marbles here are double Tunnels. These may look like a CAC, but nobody knows who made it. The ST 'at least Germany does take claim to the smaller and or transparent and white stripped we just do not know exactly who made the double tunnel.. Uniquely, Double Tunnel can look a lot like a CACV and Road and Tunnel, but tricky to realize for many. Also, the Double tunnel's always have three flavors in them. The orange and white includes colorless clear which makes up 3 streams ('Flavors)'.). The large dark blue (Most like a CAC above all). Also 3 steams of glass (Near bottom right Dark Transparent Blue, white and clear). If it was not for the 3 remarkable streams, it would be considered a CAC hands down. It is that special. The 5/8" STs contains 1 German that is actually a R&T but I took this shot 20 years ago and forgot which one.🙃 It's close if not all of the different colors they were made in except the obvious not here which is red. No dark blue in 5/8"' but there's white, green, medium blue, yellow (Hard to find) a couple of shades in Amber and Lavender. I put this group together to show the variances between them.
  11. Orange is a tough color to capture, I think, because bright and contrast need to help separate the yellow and red that usually blend and cause the color. Maybe you have to much light reflecting off the tray or whatever that's blasting (back lit) too much light through it. Maybe a Black background? IDDK except it looks layered which I'd like to see if that's for fine lines spiraling as a hand-gathered would be.

    🎭CAC?

Yes, mottled wouldn't be wrong. I had not seen the newer photo and so, it seems the first has very bright white so, now, I am not sure what it really looks like. Either way, it is quite unusual and I do not see a pattern to ID it.
  13. Jeff54

    🎭CAC?

Yes, it is not hand-gathered, no CAC nor Akro, Master, but that brushed white is something and complements this green. Blending into the green and so bright. Master's are brushed but not like this which looks like whitewash. It looks like there's is paint on it. You may be on to something Steph, it is quite different, very unusual. A Whitewash
  14. My son is a professional skateboarder. Pretty crazy, I'd expected he'd grow out of it, but didn't Instead, he went to SoCal, Los Angeles and within a short period was invited to be on Tony Hawk's Birdhouse team. . Being a Pro skateboarder is very demanding. Smacking Concrete is not what I recommend. I did some as a child, barefoot and bloody stub toes every summer. Regardless injury and pain is part of the game. One of the Sports Exercises, or therapies doctors and therapists. recommend for is Plantar Fasciitis So he invented and patented special shoes which made therapy much easier. Check out his website and story. Thank you for taking the time and read, discover as a proud father, my shameless pitch. This really works and gathering a lot of interest because he got a near-impossible patent. IDK maybe he'll get rich B/C he sure ain't lining pockets beating himself everywhere. What goes up comes down harder on flesh and bones. I just hope at the least, he can earn a living from the shoes or becomes a gateway in business. . So, check it out, no pressure. 15. Seeing as you pretty much called it out, albeit it's two colors on dark transparent blue; white and lavender, which are two patchy swirls in one RAR, you did/do know it.
  16. Your photos are sideways, and horizontal. Orientate a cat eye marble the same as Cats; vertically or up and down. Toss some Childish imagination in here and wa-la!
  17. With 3 in hand; a Cobalt blue transparent base, a patch or ribbon of lavender, that 2 of have some brownish tones blended in, and another of white. may have brown tones too. 3 different sizes in my hand, large to smallest: From a sliver below 1" (@ 31/32") down to almost at an odd 27/322". I think Vitro had size quality control issues when these and larger Conqueror types (Clear based) were produced. I'm with Etc. and cheese. That's your Blue Devil.

    ID please

Dare to temp the unknown on a WVS, no guarantees, but this looks like it would fit into Ravenswood's Nest.

    MCS and ?

MCS and MCNSS (Multi-colored-Not So Swirly )😛
  20. IDK I can't make sense of them in photos. A yellow ribbon and white plus red patch on top of this clear while yellow and red patch meet, like at a point? IDK These colors make me want to think of Mexico, or new glass, modern manufacture from somewhere I don't know. I don't know of any Peltier and I've had 100's and unopened bags of Sunset, Champion Jr style around 30 years where none have construction the way that red looks like a patch laying on it like that. The way the red meets yellow, just weird, strange for a Champion Jr style. I wonder: "Could there be a Vacor that comes close?" I mean, anything of Vacor with a few little straight stripes in or on any transparent color or clear, colorless?
  21. Yes, tough to find a big Tiger, provided this is the one at .96 you are talking about. Unfortunately, it's chiped so much.
  22. Yep, there's a surprise inside every one. IDK back in the 60's, bust em open with a hammer and screwdriver or? BB or pellets are fine. However, Then what? after a few 'free' marbles, unless you have a slingshot the 'fun' runs out. Oh, I forgot. With clear no, color , you can look closely through it and see the surface of the moon. Yea! The only downside here, providing you didn't get caught shooting the Cleary at ?? would be getting the paint off the floor or living room.
  23. Well, both are very nice. So surprising the Oxblood did not burn up or just turn solid with air pop and bubbles while reheating and shaping. As you can see in the photo of Lemon Lime Oxblood, it and the brick managed to retain a real effect. I have another melt job and is pure junk from Remelt. These two are fantastic marbles. If it was not such a scam, a scam by these three rip-off cons. Had they told the truth, I'd be very pleased. Instead, stuck with bad vibes and plenty of cash ripped off in their scheme. I mean, I spoke with Debbe and took her word, didn't expect that. She is a better lair than Cliffy.
  24. Probably, 2-3 Paranoid, delusional idiots in every type of collectible on eBay and around the net who are practically doing and saying the exact same thing. The literal very same crackpots in old bicycles. Maybe they have an organized club: NAU Nitwits Anonymous United. Members only get blinking lights mounted to their forehead and manuscript to copy and paste in the auction and seller's description.
