Akro sure did like to use the same name for different marbles Imperials Moss Agates Cardinal Reds Fire Agates etc etc. They sure didn't care about us future collectors and the name game . Yes, that last sentence was a joke. I think the true blue eggyolk oxblood is another super hard find. I have only seen them with really weak eggyolk.

Just wondering why the oxblood marbles would be considered imperials?

Great score Winnie. Looks like Holland made marbles. I have always wondered how Eat Germany would have been producing glass marbles after WWII considering the fuel and resources it takes to make them. Being made somewhere else makes much more sense to me

Heck I just realized not one listing of a Turkey is a Turkey. Perfect example of why not to use Ebay for IDs. And as to real value I would probably sell any of those Turkeys except the center one for $45.00

Those marbles are Vacors and they sometime fold in a way to make a pattern resembling CAC Turkeys. Several other companies can also have similar Folds. But only CACs are true Turkeys. Here is a pretty good example of a CAC Turkey and a few other CAC turkeys.

Aventurine is either a contaminate or an overabundance of metal oxides that precipitate metallic crystals. metallic streaks are usually a metal contaminate that fell into the tank. All accidental on these cateyes. It has been done on purpose in recent years at some companies

I was simply giving a reason that I believed helped explain why the response may have been so low. I am also going by what I know from talking to dozens of collectors at dozens of shows. Most do not visit these boards. And observing the amount of polished mibs that have found there way into collections that I have seen at many recent shows I am now becoming anti-polish myself. If they never left the owners home that would be a different story. But many of these buffed and polished marbles find there way into the world and get passed as unpolished marbles. I have bought and used the pads and even bought a machine to run marbles through so I know what to look for. Many older eyes do not see that the marbles are polished. I am not making Judgement on what anyone chooses do do with their marbles as long as they keep them home

You must also realize that A large percentage of marble collectors (and most long time collectors) look down on polished marbles.

Many "Opaque" black CACs are also an extremely deep transparent red

Originally the clowns were opaque. lately almost any red and yellow banded Pelt gets called a Clown. Bricks are Oxblood which with MFCs can have other color glass mixed in that actually is formed at the same time the Oxblood is made.

They are all Alley Apprx 5/8" and I would say value is between 100-200 for each of those 2. They are Mint

WOW! I am getting so many offers, at the motel I may have to number them and put a box out where folks can place their offers. Then give them to their new owners noon Saturday or ship them. Never had to go to any lengths like this but it seems there are a few popular marbles heading East. Any other suggestion on how I can make it fair.

Is it not possible that there was also a German manufacturer of this type marble. It also seems like a lot of assumption from a bad picture in a newspaper. Just more ??????? for me. Sure would like to see some Dutch packaging or some marbles from the site.
