  1. I believe Gropper distributed CACs after the split from Peltier in 31. These may be CACs
  2. roger did a lot of digging at the site before folks began leaving messes and hazards and basically ruined it for everyone
  3. chunks of oven brick found in machinmades will at times resemble figures(they ar not) 0 "
  4. And the difference is Fred Wilganoski puts at least 3 strings of colored glass between the ribbon of Lutz. Vintage Lutz have 2 almost always. And Lutz marbles always have a regular pontil.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Old-Vintage-Marbles-LOADED-BEAUTIFUL-LUTZ-LOOK-/250910472045?pt=Marbles&hash=item3a6b6df76d#ht_677wt_1139
  6. gonna have to withdraw the bid. Not quite minty enough for me.
  7. I also think we tend to compare many setups to the one at Jabo. The gob feeders are different at MK and were way different at Peltier than the simple hole in the tank they have at Jabo. These others were(are) multiple stream setups and that is what made 99% of the pattern. Different deal with single stream swirls
  8. why not sell it here. I will start the bidding at $600.00
  9. IMO There are also some marbles made as Patches that resemble popeye corkscrews. Even though they are called Popeye patches I really do not consider them Popeyes and neither do a lot of collectors. Give them a partial refund or take um back would be the right thing to do IMO.
  10. And always question descriptions about damage that says only seen under magnification, or can not be seen with the naked eye. Those folks usually leave their glasses off.
  11. Google Images (Glass marble paintings) will get lots of images. click on image for info
  12. It is in my hand and I still can't tell. I will let the Pelt collectors decide in Vegas. If they say no it will go back to Ohio for the Alley collectors in February when I go to Canton
  13. here is how I shoot marbles http://file.walagata.com/w/lstmmrbls/goofy/DSCF5339.AVI
  14. Looks like they discontinued Michelangelos and I would call them swirls
  15. I like the Show Day. Good deals can usually be had.
  16. And some day someone will be able to tell me how or why a clear layer often forms where colors meet and on the surface of the glass. And often times this clear layer will pick up crystals and carry them from one color over another color making it appear that there is more than one color of aventurine when in actuality all the crystals came from on color band(on Pelters quite often)
  17. Yes marbles and glass are amazing! Have you ever attempted to make a marble sulphide. A machine made marble encased in clear. If thats possible I have some I would like it done to.
  18. Gonna have to agree to disagree on this one Rich. No matter what why or how those two colors mixed and made green
