  1. Mon, what is your post about? Just hammering my previous posts or trying to contribute. I never do say always. But I haven't seen a CAC striped Opaque with nice straight lines on both sides if thats what your getting at. Another way to ID this marble is to have or have had blended MKs. Some fairly similar in here.
  2. The large darker area is not the pooling of pigment near the center of the spots that I am talking about Here is an example with many. the fakes often only have a few. Its often very tough to tell from a pic. One of the reasons a good return policy is always a must
  3. Seam? darker centers on some of the spots. having had many fakes.
  4. Notice how the bubbles are evenly dispersed in Zaboos marble. Not following a band of color. Also notice the ends of the color bands on the bottom of the first pic of the torched marble
  5. Marble King all the way IMO. The lack of loops or Ss between the end of the seams spell Marble King to me. Never seen a CAC 2 seamer with straightish lines on both sides of the marbles. Here are some typical side shots.
  6. The tiny bubbles like that are Usually a sign of torch work
  7. too many too remember John(LOL)
  8. That might change my opinion in hand but it still looks a bit strange. I have certainly been wrong more than once. I may also be getting a bit blinded as I have seen quite a few fake CACs recently. And some were in long time collectors collections. Hope I didn't step too hard on anyones toes. ******************* And now I have been reminded that I did have this marble In Hand. I Sure thought it was legit then. Thats what can happen when you don't look at all the pics and have a spotty memory. Sorry about that. Maybe the posting will get more folks looking and bidding.
  9. can't call it without seeing the sides between the seams. Someone sure likes it.
  10. or maybe the lack of a seam!
  11. Contemps sure are getting expensive..EDIT EDIT EDIT this marble is legit. I did not look at all the pics and missed the ones with a seam http://www.ebay.com/...b#ht_717wt_1296
  12. I have never seen any Akro paperwork of any sort that the purposefully made or marketed any completely machine made marbles larger than 1". If that actually did come in a Akro package(big assumption IMO) I would guess it was a case of poor quality control which Akro usually was fairly careful of?? Over sized(Probably wouldnt fit the box) misshapen marbles are not something I would ever expect to find in an Akro package. Just my opinion
  13. Quite large for a 2 seamer CAC but I sure could not rule it out with those pics.
  14. Assumption and Speculation that any of these were purposefully made in that size IMO. Akro had rollers for 1 inch marbles. It is easy to assume many marbles up to this size 11/4"+ were possible. I have marbles almost an inch that were made on rollers for 3/4 inch marbles. These were just accidents. And I watched them made.
  15. I used to own a Lemonade Oxblood that was of similar size and surface texture.
  16. The game has evolved http://www.americansupersports.com/CB-12-Blue.html
  17. The glass is layed on like a contemporary not like a true swirl.
  18. With the number of marbles this seller has correctly IDed one may wonder. Mis-identified marbles on Ebay whether from ignorance or purposeful is rampant. The price it went for is insane.

  20. Some would call it a striped translucent. Also looks like some signs of a torch made or torch worked mib. The feathered out areas of color banding and the weird mottled pattern are possible signs of inconsistent heat from a torch. Cool look though thats for sure
