A hand made should not have a flat side. They should be round. Any (1500-2000F) hot glass will be flattened if squeezed or falls on a hard surface.

When you get to 1 1/8 or 1 1/4 inch for USA machine mades, that is about the max. Plus the 1 1/8 and any 1 1/4 are few.

Not sure what a Royal Agate is. This one is foreign, non USA.
  7. There were some nice marbles made at Jabo.
  8. The green one is a swirl not a patch. At 13/16 the green one is probably Jabo. You have the other two correct.
  9. The brown amber is Ravenswood. No oxblood. Ravenswood had none with oxblood. The green is Champion or Alley. The green looks very weak for Alley. I would guess Champion. If oxblood , it would be called horsehair oxblood. Is there any red in the oxblood lines or just brown ?
  10. Akro. Vitro Victory marbles are nice clear base and a single one color patch.
  11. Vitro and Vitro. The last is Peltier.
  12. Looks very busy for Cairo. I would guess Alley.
  13. I cannot make a call on this one without size.

Master made a good amount of 7/8 to one inch marbles. As many solid color or colored clearies at 7/8 to one inch, as any other company, of comparable size and age. They produced good numbers of 7/8 to one inch marbles like a weak sparkler, just not as many colors as sparklers. Plus some larger cat eye types. That seedy glass or the small bubbles seem to show up in most all the larger Master marbles.
  15. A Vitro Tiger eye. It helps many times to back light a marble. That is a marble with the colors veneered on the surface of a clear base. It saves cost, less amount of colors used. Clear is the cheapest base glass, next would be white. One hundred or a thousand times more clear and white glass cullet available to make marbles with than colored glass. A reason you will see more clear or white base marbles than solid colored base glass.

If you are happy that is what counts. Marbles were made to make smiles.

A fracture will not feel rough. Most all fractures will feel smooth. A fracture is a marble value killer, worse than a chip.
