  1. Cool beans….. I need one of those desperately (the dark cloud)….
  2. Similar story/category with Charlie Stutsman’s list of his set of 26 champions i have the pumpkin and the red cloud, but dont have the dark red cloud supposedly yellowish/green streaks across the dark red base. Does anyone have any samples of a dark red cloud that they can show?
  3. I just did a quick little research on El Aguila…. I didn’t know that they were pre-Vacor Marbles……According to the look on some of their “headers” on bagged Marbles, there seem to be some samples that match mine…… Thanks for the tip
  4. 11/16” I’ll start by saying it has the colors of a Vacor Red Devil, but the glass does not match, the seam configuration is dead on for Master and for Akro (including eyelashes at both ends)….. The eye appeal and unique feature of the marble is the detail of a red, yellow and blended (orange) band that “encircles” the marble from seam to seam……. Had it in the Vacor pile as a Red Devil until observing the features closer…..What say you? Here are close up views of the Cut lines, seams and eyelashes The top row is a color comparison of a Champion Pumpkin (Hot Wheels) and a Champion Red Cloud …. Also a comparable colored Akro corkscrew to the right…
  5. Has anyone considered Kokomo?……The marble does have somewhat of a “single band” kokomo style trait and is also overloaded with bubbles…..The only Pelt Rainbos Ive seen with thick bubbles like that are Sunsets…(EDIT-and a few PPP’s)……but? Here is a sample of a bubble filed single band Rainbo that I had years ago that at the time stirred up an ID controversy between it being a Pelt Rainbo or a Kokomo… I think it was 3/4” (have to go check my data base) and heres a hefty 15/16” Bubble filled “Twisted Sunset” Rainbo
  6. Here’s a favorite…. Nice sized 23/32” Akro UV Swirl EDIT: Even though its only a glower, I felt compelled to add this one because they’re usually found banged up pretty bad…
  7. OMG!!!! I didn’t even realize that I went this far back!!!….. lolz
  8. IMHO Pic#1 and pic#3 indicate classic “U and V” seam configuration for Master Made Marbles
  9. x2 with Winnie on this one, I have several Superiors that fit this bill….The “blooming white” configuration on the clear side and slightly larger sizes for many Vitros seals it for me…. However, I would be interested in seeing the other side of that one Nice Pelt on #1…. Looks sorta like a “fruit cocktail” style missing additional color
  10. 5/8” Light Green based with Vitrolite Opalescent white swirls throughout… I’m on the fence between pattern, size and color characteristics between Champion and Ravenswood…..What say you?
  11. Thank you… it’s been an extremely long time….still hangin in there, haven't been to any shows recently but I still continue to pick up mibs whenever I can
  12. Im used to seeing examples of this type like the one on the left… The one on the right has Red based glass (or do all of them have it?).
  13. I got my indoctrination into marble selling and buying when I first met Clyde at my first marble show in Granada Hills California (2001-2002?).... It was there where he purchased a golden rebel variant of which I sold to him ($80) without knowing really how much the marble was worth (I was a noobie).........As time went on and at every marble show that I would see him, I would ask to see "my baby" where he would proudly pull out his brag box and show it to me........Clyde was an avid Pelt collector and also had the most extensive Champion furnace marble assortment I've ever seen in one collection with at least 17 different samples.......a very knowledgeable and admirable collector and friend.....he will be missed greatly....RIP my friend
  14. I have moved these to the bay with starting prices of $9.99 and they will end on FRIDAY NIGHT 28MAR AROUND 5:00PM PST With a couple of hours left to bid, most of these are still at decent prices YOU CAN CLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW TO GO DIRECTLY TO THE AUCTIONS
  15. Yes it is....and Ive had it for a long time....I will do a full research (lunt marble club) and bring my findings to the board
  16. Mike, can you or anyone else please shed some info on the Lunt Ave marble club?....I have a vase with the same logo on it....Is the club or any of its past or present members still around...anyone know?
  17. I was seventeen when this came out.....just heard it for the first time in years.....brings back some memories.....Also was a fantastic movie that was pretty realistic about the J-O-B struggle for me as a teenager in Los Angeles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9VvSFl4GpHw
  18. Winnie, they look like some of the marbles from the Veiligglas factory
  19. Well if gravity HASNT taken effect on those Opal Ladies by the end of your trip......savem for me at Fullerton.....lol
  20. Dont forget to consider that with so many different venues, you will find they demand many different prices for marbles..... -Live Auctions -Person to Person -Ebay -Flea Markets -Marble Shows -Antique Shops AND Malls All have lower and higher prices.....ultimately prices are between the buyer and seller....But not all venues will yeild HAPPY results for everyone
  21. With reference to eBay....Parrots are going for much more than MK spidermen RIGHT NOW.....Parrots average between $15-$35 and spidermen are sadly about $10-$20.....of course size condition and eye appeal are the MAIN deciding factors while bidding wars contribute to some of the hype too.....Its like real estate, values are always changing...however the values fluctuate more frequently for marbles....Whats hot and considered valuable today can be cheap and less desirable next week....My two cents
