mmuehlba replied to mmuehlba's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
well all over and the sun even came out . what a day . as far as any one guessing on the bottles and the roundel well the how about clues The roundel was by a glass guy that made me my first marble and he made it at the Ottawa show when it was held in the union hall and yes it was made right in the show ,another clue is he wore a black tall top hat . as far as the bottles he was one of the first contemporary artist and now lives on an island . and now some pics I added one with my Akro bird with a marble in his beak since this is a marble sight . Enjoy Mike we started with 16 inches just last night . Glad I have a plow. and the AKRO BIRD -

Hi nice are the other marbles on the left ringers? , It almost looks like they could be a blue ringer with an extra color being orange?? the green and yellow ,a green ringer with the extra color of yellow?? what ever there nice , seams a lot of the red boxes had great marbles when found and left alone . That would be a good start for Bid Bay again. Mike

Hi all well Ron is the new owner and now Alan has the box listed on the bay "This lot, A MARBLE CONSIGNMENT, consists of a 60-count box of "Chinese Checkers" marbles (ten each of red, black, yellow, green, blue, and white), each of which measures about 27/32" (22 mm). All or most are in the Mint range of condition. The dividers are built into the cardstock box, which has approximate dimensions of 9" by 6" by 1-1/32". The basal portion of the box is in excellent like-new condition, though the gray and black "stained glass" lid does have some wear, as well as a hole punched through the center (but not completely piercing it) and one split corner. The box is unmarked though I suspect the manufacturer of the marbles is Akro Agate Co. Winning bidder pays $12.00 Priority Shipping due to the size and weight of this item." the auction for the box only
