Those of you that know Tom, know he has killer stuff! Can't wait! he said he has over 500 popeyes! many fine one of a kind handmades too! And if you get tired of marbles, step outside and get one of those 2 ft tall daquaris. You'll go back into the show in a whole new light. I had a blast, puked, met some great people, puked, scored some killers for my collection, walked over to Binions and puked again. Oh, and the light show on Freemont kicks ass too. We always have to make plans at the last minute since I never know when days off are. Thats why we ended up in the Gold Nugget across the street last time. I was thinking about staying on the strip at Planet Hollywood to be in the middle of the action but I think I will stay at the hotel of the show or the Golden Nugget. catfish Posted October 11, 2009 Report Share Posted October 11, 2009 Staying on the old strip around freemont is awesome. Its still busy, but at least you can catch your breath. Theres buses, taxis, and other transportation to the strip all the time. If you have never been to Vegas be prepared. It has serious WOW factor. Check out the plaza in Ceasers Palace, the Pirate show at Treasure Island, the list goes on and on. (those are both free too) The light show outside is free on freemont street and there is always free entertainment out there. Its AWESOME! And the marbles aren't bad either. zaboo Posted October 12, 2009 Report Share Posted October 12, 2009 last year we started sunday morning at the mandalay bay, started walking through all the casinos, one by one, one after another, only on ONE side of the strip. did the shops inside everyone too, well quite few anyway. Did the moving statues in Caesar's again... and kept going we finally ended up down at circus circus before we caught a taxi back to the strip... at 8pm! and you sure don't want to miss the water cannon show at the mirage either! The freemont experience is a blast. there's even street vendors at night...painters etc. Love the nugget too. there's a couple killer restaurants in there now since they remodeled. with a shark tank that has a water slide tube going thru it! FUN FUn Fun! We will be staying a week. The show and in-room is great, but then we like to 'go play' all day. Come find us, we'll give you a list of stuff to find and do! and we still have a HUGE list of our own we haven't gotten through! Disneyland for adults....
