rindge
This over 2" swirl marble has a large transparent fat core. In normal light you can make out barely visible lines of a core. When backlit or held to the light there is a distinct tiny bubble filled fat core. The bands are blackish purple. There is a large ground pontil on top and maybe a smaller one on base. Is there such as a thing as a ghost or clear core marble. Thanks for looking. Rindge.
ann
First glance, I'd say contemporary --

I'llhavethat1
Haven't seen a vintage marble with that pattern with those colors in that size, leaning towards non-vintage, but in reply to your question I'd say that's what's sometimes referred to as a ghost core on vintage marbles. Scoop
What a COOL marble!!! I'd sure go with contemporary, too... Is it possible to get some good clear shots of the pontils?? Also... Check it out under a black light... Some of the contemp artists are goofing with designs that look simple in regular light, but have a "surprise" under a blacklight...
