lopacki
Rich, I too have a digital control on my oven. Never thought about a power surge doing this. I guess in the future I will put it on a surge protector if I am not going to be in my studio. At least you came back to a shop and not a burned down building as a glass bead making friend of mine did a few years ago. All my best ...... clydetul62
I prefer a power squid. Its unique way of each connector being separated. Different companies now make them. Some even are even warranted for the equipment in case of accidents.
richsantaclaus
The solid muck is too filled with different COE's to make something out of the mess. I have walked to the trash at least 6 times with the junk but for some weird reason, I can't bring myself to throw it away!
greg11
good thing it didnt arch and catch the entire place on fire... but that's what you get for trying to remelt antique marbles that would end up being sold to some newbie collector at some antique mall

Stefan
bye bye marbles.... as i wrote before, we got that problem too were i work. The good thing was that we noticed it soon enough. This can get really dangerous. You were happy nothing worse happened. Can the kiln be repaired?
richsantaclaus
I contacted the digital controller people and the kiln maker and with their help, I think I have it repaired. I ran a test without anything in the kiln and it passed the test. I am going to some remelts for a further test before I do any other repairs and if it seems to be ok, back into repairing I go.
