Steph
Bless your heart, Chuck! (There were broken image links and he quietly fixed them. ) This isn't that close of a comparison, not marbles that people are likely to confuse with each other, but the similarity in the motion of the swirling on these large marbles made decades apart has always intrigued me:
Steph
A couple of people (Letitia and Tim B.) posted these pics on facebook and I loved the simlarity yet difference. West Virginia swirls versus Jabos. The swirls ribbons happen to fluoresce. Don't yet know if that is significant. So this hopefully shows how it's at least a little bit easier to identify the opaque glass as a "ribbon" and the transparent glass as the "base" in the WV swirl, while in the Jabo it's harder to pick out which glass would be the ribbon and which glass would be the base. Steph
If I had an Akro Silver Oxblood I'd put it side by side with this Jabo So far the Akro is still on the wishlist.

DINDO
I am looking at these and could never tell the difference on many of them even though i know they are not same. Very impressive knowledge. . Imo some of the foreigns deserve some credit for beauty even though they are copycats. It also makes me wonder how many misidentified marbles are being sold by mistake or on purpose.
