pollyestr2
Just one more Cat's eye, please. I saw a sparkle in this one and had to get my magnifier. It looks like a bit of tinsel wrapped around a banana (?) type cat's eye. I know there are metallic but this one shines like silver. Is this in any way common? Steph
Could we get a closer up shot? Wouldn't be unheard of to have silver appear in blue glass -- think of Champions. Gonna go with uncommon though. I would agree with describing it as a "banana-type".
pollyestr2
Champions? - I'll have to research that. Thanks, Nancy
mibcapper
sometimes an air bubble will resemble a metallic appearance with it's placement. bill
aleecee
Air bubble; perhaps some kind of internal fracture?
dbarney2012
I would agree to look closer for internal fracture. Dennis
lstmmrbls
Fracture looks like what it is to me.
pollyestr2
A new day and a new appreciation of the expertise on this forum. Of course it's a fracture! Not that I understand it - but I can see it. But it if people can make "turkeys" out of what they see in a marble, I reserve the right to see a tiny green bow tied with tinsel. . I wonder if a fractured Cat's Eye would sell? I may find out. Thanks for your answers. And, Yes, Steph I'm still well and putting in my 15th year on eBay. Not working too hard at it but it gives me an excuse to attend fleas, garage sales and auction. Ain't life great! Nancy

jten
I have 4, 6 vein cats with a combination silver and copper streak on the outer glass. Wish I could take good pics. John
orbboy
Not wanting to burst your bubble, but that type of Cat is actually quite common. I have literally hundreds of them in the catseye tub. I call them "Shatter Cats".
Steph
My answer on rarity was given when it was still in the running for being metallic.
pollyestr2
Well then, I guess I won't bother putting it up for sale. I guess I've never looked at Cat's Eyes that closely. I don't mind keeping it around anyway. (is there an emoticon for Sour grapes?) lol Nancy
