Veetrow -- Vittrow

All these years and I STILL say Vee-trow.

Whenever I say it aloud I correct myself, but why do I keep saying Vee-trow instead of Vitt-row to begin with?

Veetro is the way I pronounce it in my head

Vitttro is the way I try to say it outloud

I always pronounced it Veetro, and indeed that is the American pronunciation for in vitro (Latin for 'in glass'), but the veterans at the show were saying Vittro so peer pressure trumped instinct.

I learned the correct pronunciation when I called JABO -- called 'em just to hear how they pronounced their name.

"Hello, this is JABO Vitro."

Ohhhh ... I've been mispronouncing _both_ names, huh? Ooooops.

I'd been saying JABO wrong = jab -oh. Jay-bo still doesn't sound right to me . . .
