J_Ding
This one, at 0.64" is a mystery. I've posted this on other sites and didn't get anything definitive. A comparable would be nice. The thinking was this, single seam mib was either CAC or Akro. The ram's horns give it a CACish feel, the tiny seam looks more like Akro (and although lashes are found on many mibs, you know, it has those Akro-ish lashes too). Strong UV, predictably, on this one as well. Thanks for the input! John
ann
Wow. That's a doozy. I've never seen a CAC quite like it, but it looks more CAC than Akro to me. My 5 cents worth.
Steph
I'm inclined to say Akro. Have seen Akros with the rams horn single seams.
Steph
Wish it had some yellow or ox to go along with the rest of the lemonade look. Does anyone have examples of Akros with lemonade bases and just white for the second color? [Edit: well, yours does have smear of a third color in it ... do you think leftover from oxblood? or just some impurity?] These mossy marbles of Bill's were thought to be Akros ... last I heard:
ann
Seeing those could change my mind. Haven't seen that seam type on an Akro before. And I've been struggling to see the base glass as CAC. Fairly unsuccessfully, so far. Maybe some CACheads will turn up.

The color capture in the photos of the marble in question is accurate. Maybe this was one of those, end of the batch, toward the end of one of the colorant kind of events. I was more Akro on the seam and the glass, and more CAC on the horns...but that excellent group of examples you posted of single seam Akros is great, and shows some resemblance to what is going on in the marble I posted, I think. Maybe it fits with those nicely. John
lstmmrbls
Looks all Akro to me.

ann
I'll go along with that. Also think the probability of that reddish color being oxblood is high. Very anemic and bleeding out in the rain, maybe, but . . .
