Ohio plant made 125,000,000 clay marbles a year. Little girls would make 25,000 a day each for 6 cents per 1000. Anyone know the name of the manufacturer? Not sure why it doesn't say. Of course the article wouldn't necessarily be accurate about the location. I remember someone posting a directory once which listed who was making marbles in any given year. Anyone remember that? Found it. It was the Thomas' Register of American Manufacturers. So, can anyone get their hands on that for 1911? Brian Graham probably knows. Need to send out a bat signal. I was just trying to make the connection that a Bryan area newspaper is close enough to ravenna for them to report on goings on in the area, and the only clay marble maker I know from that area would be albright, but I'm sure others are possible as well.
