rockinron110
Here is a Red Based CAC but I not sure it is a Guinea however it came with the Guinea pieces.
Steph
Chips are good. It's nice to be able to study the insides of the marbles. We've had threads on marble innards before. If I can find the most comprehensive one, I'll check to see if it has guineas and then maybe bump it.

VTAndrea
Not sure which Bill is "mibstified", but if he reads this--or anyone else who knows--what type is the marble in the 6th photo down from the beginning of the post, in the middle column? Asking because I have one like it and have never known what to call it. It sort of looks like a peach slag.
VTAndrea
And Galen, you win the "Most of the Best CACs" award!
mibstified
Hey VTAndrea: I think you are referring to the middle marble in this pic, correct? Hard to see but this shooter is a clear based striped transparent. The surface is just about 100% covered with a creamy orange opaque "film" of color, to the extent that there is only one (very) small window to look through with maglight back lighting to see that the base glass is actually clear. Looking through any other surface location with back lighting, the mib looks like it has a creamy orange translucent base.

VTAndrea
Hi Mibstified: I just got around to seeing your reply. I think your marble is similar if not the same as mine. Mine is 25/32, but unfortunately has a couple flakes so not mint.
BuckEye
Those are burnt orange slags
mibstified
Hey Craig: Mine is clear based and burnt orange makes sense, but all the opaque glass is on the surface. Bill
BuckEye
I have four of these all different sizes, they are not easy to find. Maybe they were supposed to be electric orange? I have one where the whole outside is color, I have two where the base glass fluoresces wildly and the other two don't!
mibstified
I also have few a number of them but most are electric and not this creamy burnt orange look. I will hit'em with UV and see if they fluoresce.
VTAndrea
There really isn't a whole lot of difference between striped transparents and slags, is there?
mibstified
My understanding, slags are transparent base mibs with white opaque glass swirling within and/or on the surface. If the opaque glass is a color or colors other than white, then it would not be considered to be a "slag", correct?
