Akro?

I've had this marble in my Akro tray for years because the dealer I got it had ID'd it thusly.  Obviously it's a patch and a very colorful one.  Is it in the Unique family of birds?  OK, don't rain on my parade and call it a Vacor.  It's just too pretty.

How big? What are the seam shapes?

I'm torn between late-ish Akro and early-ish Asian.

I'll vote asian.  I'm no expert but my opinion from the photos is that it's a really nice example of an early Asian marble.  The older ones have brighter colors and can have clear or translucent bases like this one.  I have even seen some with fine aventurine.

  I have had some similar and believed them to be Asian but they always seem just too nice to be positive.

I am feeling Asian here.  If it were Akro I would expect the yellow a bit more solid looking.

Andrea, this is one like i mentioned earlier.   Hard to photo but I managed to capture some of the fine aventurine in the second photo.
