I got lucky and found this marble among others in an online auction purchase. I need feedback.  Mint. Pole to pole 3/4". A folded pontil circles one pole.  That is intersected by  a seam line. I sure hope it is what I think. CHRISTENSEN AGATE CO. PEACH SHOOTER. UV reactive (picture) I welcome any comments

Doesn't look like a pontil to me. I assume CAC made clearies but it is beyond my meager talents to identify any maker.  I suppose the best way would be to find a CAC peach slag (I have never seen one) and compare colors but even that could be indecisive. In the meantime I would put it in the jar in the window with the rest of my clearies. Thanks

"Welcome to Marble Connection doc" :wave2:

CAC (Christensen Agate Company)never made a marble with a pontil. Hand made marbles have a pontil. CAC'S were all machine made, the fold or crease in your marble is common & happened sometime during production. Bruce is correct in saying the closest you'll get to the peach color in a CAC is a peach slag. Your marble is a common "clearie" more amber than peach, value next to nothing. 3/4 is big for a CAC marble, but they are out there. This first link is from AAM  ( All About Marbles) & the second a video from Stephen Bahr (a member here) posted on YouTube along with several other marble I.D. vids he made should help you out on getting started on your way to Christensen agate & other marble identification, if you still have questions that's why were all here to learn & help each other out, "Again, Welcome, Have Fun & Good Luck"

A handy hint for you, never use Ebay as a marble I.D. platform !!

I've got to keep my hopes high, but I thank you Bruce.

It has a Roll mark on a pole, which is common. Your marble is a common machine made. Machine made marbles do not have pontils of any kind. It may be the lighting but I don't see anything close to CAC peach color. Your marble looks more amber or light orange to me. Compare your pictures with Chad G. CAC peach pictures above.   Any 3/4 CAC is not easy to find.  We all want more of our marbles to be the better CAC's. But 99% of time they are not.
