Ric
They look a bit like bricks but they're not. What are they called?
Steph
Well, there were some non-bricks which were called bricks of different flavors. And then there were Cornelians.

Steph
17 minutes ago, Ric said: . . . so a cornelian brick of some sort? I'll try to be more specific. I'm thinking of two different categories. There were some dug marbles which diggers were calling bricks even though they weren't oxblood. They came in different shades, including peach. I don't know if yours were among the shades which were being called bricks. And then there was the marble which Akro officially named Cornelian. Your left marble is pretty close in shade to this scan of a very old photo.
Ric
I think you're right, Steph - Cornelian on the left and perhaps the "mulberry" variety on the right.
wvrons
Yes the Akro diggers called them bricks. But they are not true bricks. Several five gallon buckets were dug over a good amount of time. I have seen two and three gallons of these on a bed at shows years ago.
