Try to get the whole marble in your pics. It might be a slag.

Welcome here, Mary. You'll want to avoid reflections as much as possible, because sometimes it's hard to tell whether you're looking at a pattern in the marble or a reflection of the environment on the marble.

When I try to mentally remove the reflections from your pics, I think you might have a hand-gathered brick (oxblood) marble here.

OHHH YEAH ! If that's a Brick which is very possible can be. I hope it is because they aren't that easy to find.  I think Ric nailed it.

Maybe she thought we were making fun of her when we said her marble might be a Brick. She may have thought we meant like a brick you build houses out of instead of a name for a marble.
