Fire1981
It’s crazy how the ribbons have all those tiny fractures. It’s that “normal “ or just beat up. Any ideas 🔥
Ric
Wow that marble's all kinds of messed up - looks really cool though. It's not a Cornhusk. It looks like some sort of banded swirl with some serious glass composition issues. It's interesting how that "mosaic fracturing" pattern seems restricted to specific areas of the marble - almost like "bands" of fractures. Crazy. Fire1981
So what does a Cornhusk look like. I was told by the person I got it from that it was a Cornhusk. Weird story behind this one. Kinda Mafia like. The guy owed me marbles and money. This was one in 5 marbles he "paid off" the cash side of the deal. 🔥
Chad G.
Agreed, not a cornhusk, looks like some kinda weird annealing problem, a difference in the glass used for the base as opposed to the glass used for the ribbons.

Fire1981
WOW ! That’s cool. The pay off was 10 marbles not 5. Here are the other 9. Any ideas on IDs on some of these.

Fire1981
The top middle one isn’t opaque. The base glass is transparent light blue. I’m trying to remember but I think it’s a Submarine 🔥

Fire1981
It does look opaque. I got all geeked up when I back lit it and it wasn’t. I’m glad I didn’t have to drive to South Dakota and physically get my original marbles and the cash. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Alan
Not a Cornhusk. The fractures are caused by glass incompatibility.
