Check out this bunch of marbles

I have a friend that walks creeks looking for bottles here in Mississippi. He always picks up marbles as he finds them.

I got a chance to see his finds yesterday. There was some real cool mibs in his bunch.

I even saw a couple of Champions in the bunch!!!

That bunch must've been collected over a whole bunch of creek walks! There is everything from soup to nuts with production spanning many years. I'm sort of surprised he's found so many.

Many of them look like they tumbled through a few class five rapids, with lots of rocks.

Yep... He collected these over a couple of years.

He showed me the creek today where all the marbles came from. It is FULL of broken glass and bricks. BAD environment for marble safety.

I keep all of the marbles that I find in my garden🙃.

This has inspired me to go to my nearest coastal landfill. The Atlantic Ocean has ripped a big gash in it over the years and there’s usually good pickings after high tide.
