What age Melissa?

Back in the 70's 80's these were some of the first marbles that I ever purchased ( I thought that they were "Guineas":confused-smileys-327:).

They were in the back shed (very dusty and old) of a farm sale:character-smileys-238:.

Regardless, this one is a good example--very nice indeed.

Marble--On!!

I don’t know the exact age of these but I know they aren't new and could possibly be vintage. Some are opaque and some have a transparent base.

Nice, Melissa. I just saw a couple of Aguilla bags with Mosaicos. Honestly, I was surprised at the quality of the marbles. Some of them were every bit as nice as Masters, and some even better IMO. I am not mistaken these marbles were made before company moved and evolved into Vacor.

I think you’re correct and I want to say they were made in the 60s maybe?  I’d love to find some of those bags but I hear they are quite pricy.

I have a bunch of Vacors on the way, actually, they are Mega Marbles and Top Notch but I suppose they are still Vacor de Mexico.

These are all I have in my collection before the bus loads start rolling in as far as I know.

I believe these are what might be Volcanos

These are what I see are at least an earlier run than what is currently the latest Serpents. I think they are Serpents and in the same group on the end is a Planet marble.

I am kind of new in this territory of collecting but I have noticed that issues and reissues appear to change in detail, quality, names and who know what else. Some have evolved dramatically into a completely different looking marble altogether over time.

So are these marbles of mine anything special?

Nothing special just 2 gen at a quick look volcanos and serpents.

Vacor collectors have put 1st gen 2nd gen and 3rd gen to date them.

The dates I don't know if there are set years.

First gen were early 90s and were usually the best more opaque glass and amounts, also very little orange peel.

Second gens late 90s.

The glass gets thinner and more cold glass is evident by the orange peel and rolls.

2000s the glass looks mass marketed colors quality set in.

Then there's the net bags, special collections these have the variants a lot of these are seam cut no spinner and unusual colors and combos.

You'll see the difference soon enough ebay is good to looknthrough generations etc.

Hope this is what you were asking and that I'm somewhat accurate in the time frames and explanations.

I really appreciate the reply. I just got 5 bags in the mail today from Moon Marble. They look great and happy in those nets. The Serpents look the same at first glance as the ones in the net. This image I compiled from like packages on the internet. I will be posting mine but I have to run right now.

I wanted to thank you though for your in depth response to my post though. Very nice of you.
