3/8" Pee Wee type?

Hello all....

Here is one I found last week that is a mystery.

I was leaning toward a Bennington but it's not a solid blue. China or Lined Crockery maybe?

What do y'all think?

This little guy is exactly 3/8" diameter.

In the last pic it is sitting next to a 3/8" Pee Wee blue Bennington.

SO.... you think the first one I posted (by itself) is a Bennington?

(I know the other 4 are Bennington's, I posted them for contrast)

The surface does not look like a glaze. It looks like the blue lines are made into the surface.

@Ric is the go to here--he does love his clays---my Vote is (not a Bennie).

I'd call it a crockery marble. I have a number of them but I am not sure about their origin. I usually lean toward Germany, mostly because of that greenish brown color, but I sure wish I had more certainty because sometimes I lean towards one of the earlier American manufacturers like Standard Toy Marble or American Marble and Toy Co.

I do know that it's not what we typically call a Bennington and it is likely at least 100 years old.

I have found many clay marbles, other marbles that are white and glassy looking and a few Benningtons in this creek. I was surprised at the age span of the marbles in this creek.
