VaMarbles
What would these be considered? Crockery, Benningtons, old handmades from Clay? Kinda out of our wheelhouse. Thanks for looking

akroorka
River dug or outhouse marbles?--Maybe. I think that you have a few glass ones mixed in here. I do not see any "Bennies". Clay for the most part. Tap them on a tooth to tell the diference. Brian Graham has researched American made clays more than any one else. I can never remember his user name here but this is a link to his website. https://www.briangrahamglass.com/marbles/ Marble--On!!

I know this is a china marble but are they very collectible? I feel like I’ve seen a lot of these. Circled
akroorka
Bullseye China? It does look glazed from my angle. Do not let the name fool you--most of the "Chinas" were made in Germany. Yes--folks collect these and condition is always a factor. The brown one to the lower right is in fact a "bennington" so you have a few involved there. Marble--On!! Fire1981
Aren’t those made out of porcelain ? I thought they have clear glaze with separate colors for the circle. The colored circle glazes go on first 🔥 RAR
Fire1981
The reason a porcelain marble would be hard to find is that porcelain clay can only be made in a sterile studio/factory with a climate controlled area that the clay is worked with. That’s one reason Porcelain China isn’t cheap🔥 RAR
Fire1981
But….it could be a white glaze clay marble. Any ideas on that one 🔥 RAR
Chad G.
Benington's, clays & China mix, yes the China appears glazed to me also, all that means is glaze was put on the clay before firing, all the rest were fired as well
