Oxblood, CAC, and others help

1st I'm not asking for ID on every individual 1. Just some of the pics with a few or if you see something. I'm not done sorting and I don't think I even shared the different patch marbles. Some have a ox color streak but I  ain't looked into it.

Ok so I only started collecting about a year ago. I was in TN, uranium glass hunting and a hidden jar lit up with so much green and red. And it was affordable. I think under 20. I just put it up at home and continued buying more jars til 2 nights ago. I decided it was time to sort. Some of my jabo classics came from multiple jars. I misplaced the cheap jar til then. Over the past year I've learned kinda what to look for even though I can't name them all. I thought I was gonna have a heart attack when all that oxblood, handgathered (I think I have a few), vitro helmet all came from it. I spent a year looking for my 1st oxblood and had them the whole time.

If the pics with my white marbles posted, do you know what ones are rare under uv light? It's got pinks, greens, and multiple shades in-between.

Idk the rules but most of the rare ones may be available to a serious buyer. I hate to but need the money. I'll leave my gmail to start. [email protected]. Don't want my number out there. I got enough spam callers already lol. I want to ID some of them for sure to have a better idea of values. I know oxblood is worth a lot but how much would them be for example. I know a 5/8 solid oxblood is about a hundred but there's different types in my collection.

Hello and Welcome.  Is the first picture in your group referring to OX blood marbles?   Because I’m not seeing OX blood here.  Maybe one or two might but would need individual pictures.

The rest of your photos are mostly Jabo’s, Vitro’s and some other common marbles.  For resales, nothing really jumps out to me as a buyer/collector.

keep posting individual pics for better IDs.

I guess I'm replying to Tommy. Thank you for that. The pics I added does have some that do not belong. I've tried for 3 or 4 days to ID the little olive "Monster". Thats what I'm calling it. I don't think oxblood was used in that way but I really don't know alot about history of marbles. I was just rushing to get the 3rd set of "better" pics to satisfy the group I'm in. I don't get it. The color is the same in varying degrees on the majority. A know it all said 1 of mine was a brick while all others weren't oxblood so I took pics holding it against every 1 of my marbles. Same dang color ( to most, I did get carried away on a couple ) Are they jealous I found em in a jar or wanna scoop up a deal when I give up? Some of the smaller ones that i haven't taken out only have a couple streaks but still opaque and generally in the same shades as them examples. ( I know there's a couple in the pics that don't belong ) I don't wanna run outside again for more pics. This reply is only allowing me to add 1 or 2 pics. I have some decent closeups. Idk if I did it right but the link is dropbox. I tried it and there's 30 pics, some were already uploaded. I can't remember what I did or didn't. I would like ID help on them individual pieces ONLY if they're semi old. Don't waste your time if 1 is 5 years old. I shared the tiny banana cats I think. Are they a better cat, if not what about the ones thats full of the ribbon (all the way across)  I don't know correct terms

I don't get it. The color is on most of the groups of my potential ox's. 1 or 2 are identical to what Tommy shared. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box but I can see the design and swirls of reds, browns. I'm not fussing, just agree to disagree. I'll put them up on a display somewhereat home. I know some I added were wrong but nothing's gonna change my mind on a few. I'm not good at photography " lighting, reflections " but in person I see what they ( 3 or 4 ) are

Welcome "TheNewToMarblesGuy" to "TheMarbleConnection".

You will not get a bad ID here--just some discussion.

The original post of your marbles show all Jabo "Classics" with the exception of one--the middle lower one(wvs imho)--the one to the left may be a Pelt--maybe.

The folks here have stepped up and tried to help for sure.

You can agree to dissagree for sure and we can all accept that.

Live and learn--we all have and you have to step in line here and show a few at a time and take your lumps.

I expect anyone that is passionate about marble ID to take a stand--but one at a time my marble collecting friend--please.

I will for one, will not put up with this one getting too aggressive.

Marble--On!!

Im sorry. I had the Facebook group tearing into my best finds whether they are that or not. I had got so excited when I poured a jar out and seen that color. I've also read that some used it on other old types in streaks or patches but obviously nothing like the values of a brick. I'll take my time and do shots of 1 and 2. Can someone tell me what the 2 orange translucent shooters with the white 9 or I've heard it called (turkey head I think). Sorry i don't know what's the deal with my photos/phone. All my pics are taking huge memory space, 1mb+.  I can't even load the single group shot I just asked about

I joined Facebook a bit ago and I’m quickly finding that a few sites are really good and most are really bad on ID.  The two marble king groups I find excellent information on and real experts.  Same with the alley/wv swirl site.  Trying looking at those!

I’m not sure which orange shooter your referring to above with turkey heads but if they glow and are over 3/4” they are probably Jabo’s.

I realized 1 thing recently that was really messing with some of my wrong ID. When I image search them, the 1st pics that pop up are usually selling platforms ( ebay, etsy...). I've realized that there's alot out there selling them as something else, causing the newbie to be all confused. I'm sure I've got screenshots with 1 of them identical orange jabos labeled as cac handgathered so I posted on here as that. I have some marble type charts saved but my stuff never matches so I was image searching. Sometimes it works, sometimes not

Reverse image search will not lead to accurate marble identification.
