Ric Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM Report Share Posted yesterday at 01:06 PM I agree this one looks like a Silver Oxblood. Similar marbles with an opaque white base are called Milky Oxbloods. Any sort of an Akro "Ade" will glow under UV, Lemonade, Limeade, Blueberryade, Orangeade, etc. If it doesn't glow, it's not an an "ade". And the Ade base can vary a bit too.

Marble making wasn't a precision manufacturing process.

It's not light yellow like the seller described except for maybe one extremely light yellow filament embedded. There are hints of extremely light blue. It doesn't look like a traditional lemonade or silver, but UVs just like a lemonade. I don't think it's a Blueberryade. It's really different.

If the marble on the right fluoresces it is a weak lemonade variant. As Alan said, there is lots of variation in machine made marble production - that is the rule, not an exception. In other words, there are good examples and bad examples of any particular marble type. And the right marble is definitely not a blueberryade or any type of "ade" other than a Lemonade, if you even want to call it that. These are collector's names and some marbles fit the ideal better than others.

Probably from the sun's rays. Different lights make it look white, very light blue and very light green.

I suggest that you move away from a "variant" concept = more cash. It causes people to misidentify and invent new names and ideas chasing money. Light is not white. Different lights emphasize certain colors. The sun brings a broader spectrum of color. I can make a marble look different just by changing lighting, angles. 1

At the very least it's different which would make me want to keep it since I have seen none like it unless I can't pay the light bill.
