Madcap Laughs
**l see now, it is probably RD, but insight is still welcome!** I'd purchased these contemporary marbles and have looked up the "RP23" on it, but I only came up with one name, which is alluding me. The seller said that it was not the correct artist, and the name was alluding him, as well. All three have the sane signature/date. Any insight would be great! You guys are a wealth of knowledge and I thank you in advance! Amy
Ric
You may want to consult Steph's old list of contemporary marble artists. And hope @Alan will take a look at it too.

Thanks!

To my eye - it suggests an extension of a style that Kobuki did several years ago - taken further. I don't know of a name for that approach. 1

Madcap Laughs
So, I did look up the ADs and APs on that list, but nothing looked close to that style. Hmmm. Shaggy and Scooby have kind of a mystery here! Lol. I'm sure if I dive deeper, the name will surface. Part of the fun! Thanks everyone!

Madcap Laughs
Okay! Here is one! I can't find my calipers but maybe 1.25"? No signature. Boo. Thanks all!
Ric
Most artists these days will sign work they're proud of. This one looks like someone may have been practicing their dot stack technique, which is a fairly common approach. If you figure out who made it I'll truly be amazed. 🙂

Like Ric says, a signature would make someone standup and say this is mine--no one is standing up here. If I made it I would be proud of it--never sell it though. Madcap Laughs Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Author Report Share Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Lol I did not read that correctly. I did not see his comment! I kinda figured it was what you had stated. I don't particularly care for it, tbh. Just curious. Lol. I'm going to give it to a kid and tell them it is a lucky marble. 🙂

I give marbles away all of the time--even if I like them, someone else may like them even more. I am not married to many marbles--a few poutches and boxes but I am not a seller--just a simple collector that loves seeing folks enjoy marbles. If I were a rich man I would do the same. It is a lucky marble to any one that recieves it--you included. Accept any apologies that may be in order here. I in no way, tried to disrepect your passion for collecting. Keep it up and keep coming back with what you like to share. Marble--On!!

I acquired the marble in with a bunch of other ones as a bonus, and I liked the yellow, but it just didn't "speak" to me. I love giving lucky marbles to people! It makes me very happy to do so. Honestly I can't think of what you might have said to upset me. No worries whatsoever, friend! 🌼
