Fire1981
Doctor’s appointment. Why in the h€ll do you have to sit in the waiting room and the actual patient room for an hour or more when your appointment was scheduled earlier than that. If I have a 10:00 appointment I want to walk in and go directly to the patient room and the doctor is already there. I also have a problem with someone telling me “someone will be with you shortly “ and I ended sitting or standing for another 15 minutes or more. I consider “shortly” to be less the 10 minutes or maybe even 5 minutes. Why am I on this rant? My Doctors appointment was for 11:30 and it’s 1:04. I need to remember to bring THE BOOK next time and a handful of WVS. At least my appointment wasn’t for 11:30 pm. If it was and it’s now 1:08 am that means I’ve been waiting here since yesterday 🔥 RAR
Fire1981
Oh yeah…..why does a 2 hour flight delay feel like 2 days. Again. Have THE BOOK in hand and a handful of WVS 🔥 RAR
Fire1981
What if you turned on the person sitting next to you at the gate to a handful of WVS and they got all of them right ? I’d immediately ask them if they know who Cheese is🔥 RAR
Fire1981
OK….11:30 appointment and it’s now 1:38. Break it down. 43 minutes in the waiting room. Over 2 hours waiting for an allergy shot that takes 12 seconds with a big @ss needle and makes my cheek hurt like h€ll for 2-3 days. That’s right. 12 seconds. Trust me I count and it’s 12-15 seconds. 🔥 RAR

Chad G.
i waited in ER to get into a room for 17 hours , 4 hours after that in the room for a dr. and another 2 to be discharged, almost a full day. it was by the time i got home. the er here is somewhat lacking to say the least, you can google it, less than a one star rating out of 5. Longview PeaceHealth ER in Longview WA. you'll read nothing but horror stories from the patients, only hospital for 50 miles and they know it, they treat you like an animal instead of a human being. Whenever i go there it's a minimum of 5 hours before i get to go home.
akroorka
The Medical care in the USA is suffering since the Covid thing, I appreciate you all sharing your concerns here. I thought that I had it bad here in Wisconsin but things are looking up👍. Wait until you are on Medicare--the treatment--well--it is not the same as before. I actually have to ask to have my Prostate checked--Whatttt??? I want a Doctor or a PA--not a nurse practitioner--just sayin. Marble--On!!
William
Yep, 5 different people, each with a different title, has too hear you repeat yourself before the actual visit with the doctor happens lol
Carowill
I understand the frustration with waiting well beyond your appointment time but especially in urgent and emergency care situations, the unpredictable often occurs. Someone has several serious issues that take much longer than the doctor anticipated, or a true emergency occurs requiring extensive time commitment. Having practiced medicine for 40+ years, it’s hard to predict what you will see that day. I tried to give everyone the time they NEEDED and unfortunately sometimes that means you get backed up. In the ER, you triage the sickest first, which means a trauma with a 3-person car accident supersedes a cold. Adding additional physicians adds additional overhead and the patient always ends up paying this, which increases everyone’s bills. I feel your pain but that’s the way medicine works, due to the unpredictable nature of illness.
