  1. These parrots are all at least 4 colors and are 3/4ths inch. I had to look at the marbles and I have corrected the size mistake I made.
  2. This is a parrot given to my grandson by Howard Powell. it is 1 inch and has 6 colors. one inch are easier to find than 3/4 or 5/8th.
  3. I have parrots that are 3/4 inch and also 5/8ths. They must have 4 colors. What is shown above with three colors is a tigereye.
  4. I was waiting for Mike to answer this. Seemed inappropriate to me for anyone else to do this. Thank you Mike!
  5. You guys are young. I graduated from college in 1961, got married that same year, and started teaching.
  6. I love those. They are way beyond my price range. Several years back I saw one priced at $800
  7. John and Sonny Miller (John's Dad) have made marbles with that oxblood cullet.
  8. Someone posted that the oxblood was not intentional. I think it was. I do believe they knew how to make it happen. David McCullough can make oxblood in the new marbles anytime we ask for it. He's known how for a number of years.
  9. I have some that were Randy's. He had them in with his Master's. When I posted them everybody said they were Akro. I have some of Weldon's that he believed to be Master sunbursts, but when I post them everybody says Akro
  10. That bag looks like the ones Roger and Claudia Hardy put together after they bought the warehouse in Pennsboro and found lots of Champion marbles, bags, and headers. I bought some of those from them.
  11. this is one of my favorite marbles. The second pic shows a large chunk of glass missing. This marble is valuable to me because it is such an unusual color combination. I've never found another one in 5/8 in size. I do have one that is 3/4 inch that is mint. So, I'd say depends on the owner. I wouldn't sell this one.
  12. Some of us have lived long enough to have lost many. thanks to everyone posting.
  13. Patry Denton, collector. I think she had at least one of every marble. This Ravenswood was hers at one time.
  14. Louis L. Moore, last plant manager at Vitro Agate, Parkersburg, WV; father of Linda Moore Simmons
  15. Roger Howdyshell, father of Beri Fox. Owner of Marble King
  16. Marble by George Williams, Early art glass marble maker, West Virginia.
