  1. Look at it again with your light and make sure it's the white (opalescent glass) and not the effect of light passing through the orange ribbon. If it's the whitish glass and not the ribbon you probably have an opal.
  2. Thank you, Bruce. And thank you for the motion. Edna
  3. I don't see opalescent glass?? I do see some clear glass areas. Looks more like a trilite to me. I've never seen one in that color combination. So I guess I'd have to see it in hand to be sure. Have you tried backlighting it to see if the glass has fire and ice in it?
  4. Steve and Elizabeth left Texas and drove to West Virginia for the WVMCC Show. Steve presented the American Marble Hall of Fame awards tp Howard Powell and Danny Grocki. I am told that Bruce Burkhart presented a motion that West Virginia support Texas with their American Marble Hall of Fame. Weldon says he was told that Steve Pletcher passed a hat and a sizable amount of money was given to support the American Marble Hall of Fame. Thank you to all my friends in West Virginia and especially the West Virginia Marble Collectors Club. God bless the marble collectors! Texas Marble Collectors send a big "Thank you"! We are looking forward to the next time we induct members.
  5. They are definitely, for sure, Vitro Agate parrots. Hope they're in great shape.
  6. And my last (I hope I've remembered everything now) lowly little marble - the red and green tigereye. I found the two on the left at this show. I've only found 9 of them in the 18 years we've been collecting. Thanks for looking at my show report.
  7. I found two of them - one inch pastels, shown front and back side.
  8. I have shown these pastels or Easter Eggs before. They are 5/8th inch. I never knew there were 1 inch shooters that matched them.
  9. Found some more marbles I bought. Don't know if it's old age, or stress, or maybe I just spent too much money at the marble show. I must have bought so much I can't remember it all. I'm uploading and will post what I hope are the last marbles from the show for me.
  10. I think these are the last I bought at the show. Don't know how I could have forgotten the marble on the left because we honored Berry Pink. This is a "Berry Pink".
  11. Again, these are one of the 3 runs mentioned above.
  12. These are either "Celebrations", "Mamies", or "Frankies". Would appreciate somebody from the run telling me which they are.
  13. also bought some experimentals and Dave gave us more than we bought. These are the ones I bought. These look like the ones Dani bought for akro. In hand it is easy to see that there are white ribbons snaking around inside with clear areas between the ribbons. I've never seen an akro that fits that description. The other funny thing is that these are really new. I can't tell you which of the three runs they are, but we purchased and were given "Celebrations", "Mamie's family", and "Frankies". If you are reading, Dani, I think these match your marble and it's one of the three runs previously named. These marbles and the ones that follow are i9n the 3/4 inch range.
  14. I bought two sparklers and took two views of them.
  15. I was re-reading this post today and realized I left out some of my purchases. Don't know how I could have forgotten the Akro sparklers, but I did. I will upload them to host and then post here the "forgotten marbles". LOL
  16. If I've been told correctly, he is the only one taken into their hall of fame in many, many years. We thought an active one was needed. also no harm in him being a member of two is there?
  17. A peltier for $.20 It's got flea bites all over it. Is it some kind of girl scout?
