If the pontil is ground/faceted then yes it is a Greiner slag! Real nice color on that one! Love this thread! Thanks for adding Steph, hope many more will keep it going! -

Last look in the middle of the pic, when you make a cut line have to pick up the hot glass & that's where they picked it up. -

You'll never see this much blending of color on CAC marbles. The colors are wrong for Christensen Agate Company marbles. -

Sorry ziggyzora & richsantaclaus, the seller pavcraz has a history of selling torch-made reproductions as the real deal. He also sells fantasy boxes that look sorta real because he photocopy's the Akro label & pastes it on. Sells Champion new old fashions as CAC & basically does anything he can to cheat people in to giving him their money! -
More fake stuff every week! http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-ANTIQUE-VINTAGE-GLASS-TOY-MARBLES-CHRISTENSEN-AGATE-/140408515705?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Marbles&hash=item20b0ffec79 Ebay really does not give a crap, as long as they get theirs!

A Reamer With A Re-Melt!
I LOVE MARBLES replied to I LOVE MARBLES's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Clyde even though i never sold that marble, my offer still stands to Jeff, on the cracked green brick too, and the person who originally received these marbles promised me they wouldn't be sold! There was one other that sold on ebay for over $850. offered to buy that one back also, but was IDed by Les Jones as the real deal Akro, so i think the guy thought i was bragging & lying. That offer has expired, keep it, love it, & believe it's real! Scott -

Can not use the word f---er here, so substituted the word reamer for it, as am sure this guy will ream you a new one if given the chance! Have made torch-made marbles with old glass, so know what they look like. Does not CAC Mike have a lot of dirt already on this board? Isn't this the same guy? -
Jobber Box? Christensen? Help Me Out Here
I LOVE MARBLES replied to Diane's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Hi Diane, after blowing up the pic of the jobber box left to right first 4 rows all are common Christensen Agate Company or CAC swirls. 5th row second marble down from top Akro Agate, 4th & 5th marbles down from top same row also Akro. The sixth row Akro on the teal ones, yellow/orange look Akro need better pics to say for sure. Seventh row Japanese crease pontil transitionals. Row Eight 4 three color CAC shooter swirls WOW HOLY CRAP!!! Please show individual pics of these! Last row look Akro need better pics to say for sure. My advice to you is; it's a made box, that is, does not have the original contents, back filled. So if selling piece it out, (sell individual marbles & box separate) you will make the most money! Let me know if you do that! If keeping, bet all the original marbles in the box were indeed CAC marbles, so try to re-fill with those, as to make the box better more original! Super find! Scott -
Jobber Box? Christensen? Help Me Out Here
I LOVE MARBLES replied to Diane's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
Hi Diane Welcome to the best marble chat board! Super nice jobber box find! 5 rows on the left look common CAC swirls. The bag looks used and not original to the box. Will agree with Mr. Bales on the Akro's in fact all the marbles in the first of the last four rows are Akro. The row next with the white with bright red all 3/4"? Maybe American Agate CAC mibs but look like transitional Japanese marbles, need more pics of mibs separate. The next row is pure GOLD!!! not kidding if those marbles are 3 /4 inch and in mint condition, worth $600. to $2500. each!!! Want to see separate pics of those!!! The last row black/white all Akro. -

My bad & my sincere apologies Clyde. What has it been 12 years since we first met on Pete's board, Grandma D. Snell was the mod.? Then i met you in person few years back in Vegas, Wow all those years miss-speaking your name, i confess i am an idiot! Please tell me how to pronounce your name, don't want to be like i was with Bill Tow, me calling him Bill Toe, then Marvin of course has to call him "Stubby" LOL! Speaking of Bill Tow, want to nominate him for this list, hell his photography skills alone ot to get him there! Will vote for you though Clyde if you forgive me!
