  1. David, i only have two! For only having one, that's one hell of a ONE to have!!! Edna, first off think i read that you are or were a Teacher, to me that is the most admirable profession, also the one most capable of shaping the future! Also will add it's the only profession capable of taking marbles away from those little bastards that chipped them! Opinions, you know what everybody says about that, but indeed everyone is entitled to their own opinion! Mine is why name a new marble after an old one...unless of course you're trying to deceive people and make money? Aren't the people who made these marbles creative enough to come up with a new name? They are indeed beautiful marbles, can't they stand on their own and get a new name, so as not to deceive people? All Jabo marbles were created for the collector market, none were created for children's play toys. They are indeed a forced collectable. None will ever be played with or thrown away. Last in my honest but not always so humble opinion Jabo has created the need to now name all marbles! Hope this doesn't blow up to be the wrong thread, not what i want! It's about CAC marbles right? Scott
  2. Hi Ally Opp, only 2 cyclone/cobra's in the first pic. The center one is the best looking clear Guinea i've ever seen! Danny Turner must of liked it also it was on the front cover one of his Running Rabbit catalogs. Also met another marble collector in my area that had a picture of it on his marble business card! LOL! Top right is a clear Cyclone/Guinea color inside, pic doesn't show. The one under that is a amber base Cyclone/Guinea bought from Brian E. many years ago at Vegas IAMC show! Brian said it was the best looking amber base Cyclone/Guinea he'd ever seen!
  3. The right pic was taken by Dani, (thanks Ernie & Dani/zaboo) but the red and black cobra is mine! Brian E told me not a cobra because has too much color on the surface. It really does not fit in any other category though! Oh yes every type marble made must have a name!!!!! BUT..... Do Not Name Any New Marbles the same name as a vintage marble!
  4. With a little help and a push in the right direction, i can actually see it being as good as it ever was.
  5. Hey Ron S. have a Super day on your Birthday today!
  6. Always glad to help & yes Bill think we can keep this going! YAH BABY!!! THANKS CHARLES!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370363906534 Did not know this was a "Greiner Marble" when bidding...... but it is!!!! Has a nine oppisite the ground pontil!!! 1 & 3/16" Not much eye appeal, does have a ghost core, i love it!
  7. Hi Chris marbles34, super group thanks for posting! Does the big blue one (center left) have egg yolk & white? Love the green (center bottom) also never seen that color combo, looks like 4 nines nining!!! Keep 'em coming!!!
  8. Yes thanks Dave those are the ones! Don't care how much bling or the condition, just want to see 'em!!!
  9. Glad you made it Clyde! That is the COOLEST!!! So happy to see it's intact as found!!!
  10. Thx David, it is pretty & impressive! Damn Dave (orbboy)!!! Looks like a Pennsylvania Dutch China to me also! Have not seen one look like that though, WOW!!!
  11. The amber is a California sulphide, the rest are German.
  12. Am speechless!!! Wow the Butterfly Translucent!!! Did i see that on the cover of one of the Running Rabbit catalogs? Also until now, never seen one with an amber base with egg yolk & white!!! Bill the big translucent with lavender & white, do i remember seeing the on marblealan's chatboard years ago posted on a thread by marblehaven or it's twin? Will just mimic what Landon said about a few of mine years ago, "The only thing wrong with those marbles is they're not mine!" rotfl Beautiful marbles Bill!!!
  13. Thanks Galen for the link, lots of info! Hoping to generate some interest in these truly antique marbles!
  14. Pretty BIG at 3 7/16" when i showed it to Brian E. after telling me that he & his Mom collected bowls for many years, he said it was the most colors and one of the best patterns on a Mocha Bowl he'd ever seen!
  15. I always share & you are my friend damnitman!!! You too Mike!!!
  16. Man Bill...... Never get tired of lookin at your stuff!!!!
  17. Hey orbboy nice pic!!! Went to a few H.O.L. (holy order of the lizards) keggers in the 70's! Call this "Mibs in the grass" some recent acquisitions and this sh-t right here........Frosted Flakes!!! Scratch that!!! The name game is important in every subject i guess! Just found out from my man it is indeed White Shark, not Frosted Flake! Guess we had too much & i forgot!!!
  18. If doing a history on marbles stone, China & Bennington pre-date mass produced glass marbles. Still adding limestone, lined crockery, Bennington, carpet bowl and late period China marbles to this thread. Here's another handcut agate, guess will have to start a 3rd case! Love em with rings like this! Thanks Charles (moremarbles4me)!
  19. Les was right, no such mib as MFC Persian Oxblood. Really like the hand gathered machine rounded marbles! Here's another i think? Six instead of a nine what do you think? The seller had listed as a CAC s/o will agree, but think it's a hand gathered striped opaque.
  20. MFC Persian Turquoise mibs with a CAC in the middle. All hand gathered machine rounded.
