  2. Did some checking, not a Vacor turtle. https://www.ebay.com/itm/196294161500?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fwqeevroqb2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=bXaTUpW8TnK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  3. In elementary school(Albuquerque 1960’s) I had a friend whose family kept snakes and an owl. The owl lived in the top shelf of a bookcase in the living room. they paid me $0.10 for every lizard I caught to feed the pets. A whole lot of running for sand diggers and blue-tails. Lots of cuts and scraps due to cactus and tumbleweeds, plus goathead stickers.
  4. Curious to know anyone’s opinion on grading certification.
  5. This is the best reference book available. TAMS also put out an addendum in 2012 with new varieties and pricing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/315163748385?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=lq8evqi7t_q&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=bXaTUpW8TnK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  6. Money-related political tokens for WJ Bryan, 1896 to 1908. these are satirical tokens related to the push for a bimetallic standard. maybe 150-200 varieties out there. Gorham and Tiffany produced silver versions. Most were type metal or pewter. I’ve been collecting them for 30 years.
  7. Wow, didn’t see that coming!!!
  8. All my corals are swirls, this is almost a helmut style. Who made it?
  9. These are 5/8”, part of my Tucson stash. (Just found them again) I want to verify they are benningtons, and maybe get a value. I couldn’t find any examples online with this dark a green.
  10. Antique store across the street from a clients property yielded this rare Blenko 7912 Frog during my lunch break. I’ve only seen a couple online, never in person.
  11. I collected Hard Times and Civil War tokens. Sitting in the safe…
  12. Had ham steaks with artichokes last night. Large artichokes at Walmart were $1.49/each!! cut the tops down around 2” and spread open for the steam, cook upside down. There are special holders for cooking them. poor man’s hollandaise sauce: melted butter mayo lemon jiuce cayanne pepper to taste.
  13. Love it! ours hasn’t dropped to far…
  14. My favorite oddball, 2-1/4” slag. Silica glass, no UV. Melted pontil.
  15. I’ve also seen this with Blenko items. The same piece shows up 2 or 3 times in the sold search.
  16. Yes it does, unless the sale never happens. most high $ sales are BIN, so you don’t know who(eBay score) bought it. seems to be scammers. I'm putting out 10 nice MCS at $20 each in our local antique store tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes.
  17. I’m seeing a lot of completed auctions in the $50-$80 range. Is that a real range or just the shill bidding trying to scam people?
  18. Sorry but Vacors hold no interest for me. Maybe I am an old generation collector of AMERICAN MADE marbles.
