My mom grew chives but the dog always peed on it. She finally shifted to an elevate pot. we have blackberries all over, walking trails are lined with them. Never eat the berries low to the ground🙃🙃🙃

We originally bought 1-yr old plants to make sure they survived… we bought a pair of starters this year, both bit the dust. you have to cut to ground in the fall, then cover them with 6” of dirt for freeze protection.

the artichokes are the only thing growing, and retarded doing that. the oysters, mussels, and geoducks are doing much better.

I have a 12’ aluminum boat I “bought” from my neighbor, he has yet to get me a title. It’s in his dads name who passed 15 years ago. Haven’t paid for it yet. Going to use it for crabbing.

Our high today was 59, with rain. Sitting my deck with a heater, we are down to 54 and dropping. Even the dogs won’t go outside.

We are so cold here the plants aren’t growing.

We’ve been lucky, no smoke so far in the Hood Canal area.

We have coyotes, bald eagles, and a resident cougar. With 5 small dogs, we are always aware of these guys. The bald eagles mostly go after fish and ducks. The cougar seems to only take deer, no issues with local pets. The coyotes will take anything, but mostly rabbits, which we have a lot of. a neighbor has homing pigeons he flies on a regular basis. We were in a neighbors yard when a pigeon came flying by, about 5’ off the ground. A bald eagle was on his tail, almost hit a volley ball net. He was about 5’ away from us, scared the crap out of everyone.
