  1. Already making up bags for the next show... the source is buying a jar/can of marbles for one or two collectibles.
  2. Being a “wino”, these are awesome! Do you know the maker? i also collect antique canes. My wife had a custom cane made with marbles imbedded in the staff. The maker used vintage mibs, including AKRO and German swirls. Will post a pic soon.
  3. Our show was a success! Gave away 15 bags of marbles and cigar boxes. We had one lady elated that we were there. Gave her 2 kids bags last year, and she had promised to buy them more this year. I gave her 2 bags, and she paid for 2 cigar boxes. Her kids left the first 2 bags of mibs every where, and the cigar boxes answered her prayers for solving that issue. The looks on the kids faces when getting a bag was priceless...
  4. I’ve got 4 tubs of akroware that need a new home...
  5. Found this in a cookie tin just this morning at our local antique show.
  6. we Periodically sell a variety of my collectibles at local antique shows. Our kids want nothing to do with what we collect, so we focus on kids at shows, giving away coins, marbles, and small knives. WITH THE PARENTS APPROVAL!! At this weekends show, we are giving kids a bag of assorted coins and marbles, along with a cigar box to keep them in.
  7. Let’s start a thread on jar finds. Those hidden jewels in $10 jars at antique stores.
  8. I had a jar of marbles I was buying at an antique on the counter, had a nice 3/4” Peltier K/M in it. This guy walks up, picks up the jar and shakes it. I came unglued on him, everyone there thought I was nuts.🤣
  9. Very jealous, never found a decent CAC in 25 years of buying jars👍
  10. Got one here, thanks. Although it is propane. We have been without power since 6AM, glad we have a generator and a 1,000gal storage tank. the pups are resting in Mom’s lap, all 5 of them.
  11. The ROARING 20’s are back upon us!! Imagine collecting mibs 100 years ago🤔 I keep asking Santa Claus for a time machine...
  12. My resolution is to clean out my collection, and FOCUS on my favorites. I have had the hoarder mentality for far too long, buying all vintage mibs regardless. I have recently been giving away small bags to kids at local antique shows to help keep the hobby alive. (Along with a cigar box to keep them in. Another bad habit...) i also throw mibs around at local playgrounds, in the tradition of Galen.
  13. Thank you very much!!! i have this website saved for frequent reference.
  14. Merry Xmas Steph, I hope you had a great day👍👍 thank you for keeping the hobby alive.
  15. Haha “cave-man” noises... Tim the tool-man comes to mind. that top mib is a killer!!!!
  16. I have seen those in a lot of those in the western Washington area. we had a collapse of antique stores during 08-16, but things seem to be picking up.
