  4. We topped out at 66 today😁😁😁 our high for the next 10 days is 71👍👍
  5. Our locals had a huge fireworks display at the nearby marina. I loved it but we had to drug the dogs, as usual. Pic of the new house at low tide. most neighbors like the flag pole🤣🤣🤣
  6. I hope everyone has a safe and sane weekend👍👍
  7. Thanks Al, appreciate your input... definitely a new one for the collection.
  8. Thanks for your input Ron. Boxes are not my specialty, more of a generalist novice. I haven’t seen an old marble box, other than the common 60-count type, in an antique store for probably 20 years or so. is there a list of all the colors game marbles were made in?
  9. Got home, and reviewed the Hardy reference book, not listed. I compared the color to a red 60-count box, and it is definitely orangish. Coloring is uniform throughout, so no fading.
  10. Yes I bought it and like you we are trying to figure out a 10 person Chinese checkers game
  11. 👍👍👍 love the corkscrews!! great find🔦
  12. I dream about finding an old marble collection at an estate sale. I also have nightmares about my kids selling my collection at an estate sale...😱
  13. It would have never occurred to me if I hadn’t seen it myself. Logical when doing your own marble jars for display, which is what was intended by the dealer. It wasn’t about the collectible mibs, it was about a cool lighting piece. now, if I bought a large jar of collectible marbles and found a coffee can inside, that would generate a different discussion...🤔
  14. Bought this as there were a number of AKRO corks visible. It had been converted to a floor lamp by the dealer I bought it from. Was surprised to find the coffee can hidden inside, resulting in there being less marbles. There were also a lot of plastic beads, polished rocks, and other stuff. the marbles turned out to be much better than expected. There are 2 peach corks on a wispy base, I have not seen before. Plus 3 black/yellow corks, with 1 being left-handed. also a nice CAC and a Peltier wasp. overall very pleased, will refill with common mibs. I really need to meet the dealer to see what other marbles he has🤔
  15. I gave up on goodwill a while back, most of the good stuff never makes the shelves. a local antique/thrift store reopened recently, found a great Puuko knife and 1930’s blenko vase for pennies on the dollar.
  16. Nice! All our local antique and 2nd hand stores are closed, but goodwill gets to stay open...🤬

Haha, I also have those in my pelt pile🤔
  18. We finally got out to the local nursery for plants, Tomatoes, blueberries and raspberry bushes, plus a lot of annuals. Home Depot is restricting customers based on some density number. Guy counts people leaving, then another let’s the same number in. Less than 1 person per aisle based on walking thru🤯
  19. Sitting on my deck smoking cigars and drinking wine, hoping to get back to work. My wife is binge-watching British soaps, and the 5 dogs are as lazy as always.
  20. They belonged to my great grandfather...🤔 I was told they are civil war war era, found in an outhouse in Atlanta.😱 The larger ones are worth more than the smaller ones...🤣 And the list goes on...
  21. Nice work. My go-to guy for contemps is Joe Schlemmer, aka Madman Marbles.
  22. And hard as a rock, I got my #%*^ together🤣🤣🤣. it is my lucky totem.
