  1. Found a color-matching small jewel tray on eBay. does anyone have the larger sized tray with the same color marbles? i also found another lamp picture online. http://www.mackeysclockrepair.com/vitro-agate_marble_co.html
  2. I had a Fisher-clock with a jewelry tray border, a long with a matching small tray. Had to sell it maybe 10 years ago on eBay, been looking for another ever since.
  3. Thoughts and prayers for you and the family.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
  4. interesting thought... so it may be "aquarium glass"?? Only paid $9 for it, so not a financial issue.
  5. Open to other opinions, and what to do with it. Thinking of leaving it as found...
  6. It works, has been rewired. will wait for the shade before firing it up for use. Thanks all, and have a good weekend.
  7. So cool I think I need to find a 10” chromed half-globe shade to sit on it. i also found a 2” German swirl that is fully abraded like beach glass. I am wondering how such a thing could happen? will post pics tomorrow(today😬)
  8. The lamp showed up today. base is marked as shown. very good condition, some small spots of corrosion.
  9. Wow, is it for sale? i think Galen (maybe?) had one for sale years ago.
  10. Nice👍 My photography skills died with the 35mm format....way back when
  11. I am a “hunter”, always looking for the “holy grail”.
  12. Steph, Thank you so much for this website. it has been a treasure trove over that past years!❤️❤️❤️🤬
  13. Did more searching, found a colbalt blue example on Pinterest that sold on eBay in 2012 for $640, only the base. The picture shows a bale on the upper lamp, so maybe it was gifted with no shade? Going to leave the green finial, as found.
  14. Large game marbles like to did on the large format ashtrays. I had both large and small in the same color, sold years ago. May have to go buy new examples🤔
  15. Thank you for the photo👍 1935 Xmas present is awesome! I recently bought an engraved 1918 LF&C knuckle knife that was given as a Xmas present to clients in 1923, along with a hilarious letter. Love provenances.
  16. Purchased, it will be staying at home for a while. I had to have a friend pick it up for me.
  17. Can you post a picture of the page? thanks
  18. Crapola! It was listed at $400, so a good deal I think. We are done shopping today, and leaving tomorrow morning.😢
  19. Did they show a price? all my reference books are boxed up in the garage🤬
  20. Testing... it was listed as Vitro🤔 you get a “A”👍
  21. Too cool, never seen one before. value?
  22. My go-to guy is Joe Schlemmer, AKA Madmanmarbles. http://www.joemarbles.com/1Marble Picture Pages/23Contemporary/Joe Schlemmer/Joe Schlemmer 001/1 Joe Schlemmer Large Pages/Joe Schlemmer 1-01.htm We met through the boards and joined up, shared travel expenses on a trip to sistersville in 2008 when he was in Atlanta. We both had a great time, even stopped in the Blenko factory in Milton, WV. My wife and I are thinking about doing it again in 2019.
  23. That depends on your free time, and funds. Also how many antique stores are along the way🤔. getting started will leave you shaking your head 10years later when you look back and wonder why you bought all those common marbles. i sold 2 5 gallon buckets a few years back at a local show to someone looking to occupy their time and learn the hobby.
