Sometimes, that's the best anyone can do. Not all marbles can be identified beyond doubt. Fortunately, that doesn't change the marble in any way. 🙂

The second is Akro and the first might be too but something about the base glass makes me think about Vitro possibilities.

I do think that green is most common in that matte finish but I am pretty sure I have others too. I'll dip into the archives and try to post a pic later.

So it is still a No. 00 size, which is greater than 1/2" but less than or equal to 9/16". They are still pretty uncommon and l keep most that I find. I like the 9/16" size Vitros for some reason.

Well, they are certainly uncommon compared to the shiny ones but I don't think they would fit my definition of HTF.

Are you sure that marble is 1/2" and not a hair over? Because 1/2 Vitros that are not not clearies or solid opaques are as rare as hen's teeth.

I have quite a few of those, I think some of them just came off the rollers that way since I have some in a Tom Sawyer bag. Not sure why they would have that matte finish though.

I think it's a very odd Type II Tiger Eye. I doubt it is truly opalescent. Sometimes they can look that way if the light shines through or reflects off some surface color.

Nice Alleys, Dave. I think Ron named the Blue Sky, Blue Lady and Tater Bug, and Nola named the Sweet Baby Gray. As far as I recall, Bill and I didn't have anything to do with these particular names.
