  1. Very nice, Art! The pouch reminds me of the "V" for victory pouch - does it fit in the insert, which doesn't look like it had marbles in it? Do you know what box/tin the insert is from? The size seems less common to me.

    Red Slag

I'd say there's a fair chance it is a Cerise but what do I know?

    Vacor ?

    Pretty typical for Scott . . .
  4. Random swirls . . . Alley Sistersville on the outside and CAC in the middle.
  5. I don't have many contemporary marbles either but here's a 1 1/3" Scott Patrick . . .
  6. I think it's a newer marble, perhaps a JABO swirl, not a corkscrew.

    Pee Wee

Is it an honest peewee . . . 1/2" or less? It seems like it should ring a bell but it doesn't, at least at the moment. Colors remind me of Cairo but I'll need to think on it a while . . .
  8. My guess is an Alley from Sistersville.

    Ravenwood

It doesn't look Ravenswood to me - I'm thinking Heaton too.

    Vacor ?

Looks like it might be one of Scott Patrick's to me.
  11. Art, That is a killer marble, but I would call it a Blueblood, a Blue Oxblood is a different marble, AFAIK.
  12. The box you're showing is 3D printed (plastic) - no mistaking it for an original. And the seller clearly states it is a fantasy box. The seller of the box Art is referencing simply doesn't state that it's original, probably hoping that someone will think it is, and will bid accordingly.
  13. It's called Abalone, sort of a metallic finish - and that's a killer example.
  14. I have always liked those Presidential Sets - such a great item. Did Nola get to keep that marble she made? That would be a pretty special marble!
  15. Oxblood is oxblood, as you say, even though there may be a few variants. All the rest, Blueblood, Blue Eggyolk Oxblood, Blue Oxblood, etc., are just names of a particular type of marble that has oxblood on it. Having said that, I have seen people use some pretty creative terms for marketing purposes - usually in an effort to call something that is not oxblood, oxblood. lol
  16. Way to start the day, Dave! Lady Tater
  17. Now that I think about it, Chad's marble is the Blue Oxblood, the one I posted (and @I'llhavethat1 is talking about, I think) is called a Blueblood - sorry for the confusion!
  18. And marbles like this one that Chad posted are also called "Blue Oxbloods"
  19. The ones I have and have seen have the oxblood under blue. If it was on top of the blue, I don't think it would be so hard to see.
  20. Here is a Blueblood . . . The oxblood is under blue and if you don't light it up good and look look closely it can look like a dark blue corkscrew.
  21. I think Cairo too. "Vitro" is the Latin word for "glass".
