That's a reasonable question but I don't think there is a specific answer. I personally would not use the term for anything 7/8" or smaller - more like 15/16" and up. I think "Shooter" refers to marbles that are bigger than 5/8" but no bigger than 3/4" so I'm not sure what to call marbles bigger than 3/4" but small than 15/16" - maybe just "big ones"? It's a real quandary. lol

That looks like a really fun way to spend some time!

Just to be sure, Boulder is not a specific Vitro name - it's a reference to the size of the marble.

An odd Vitro Type IV Tiger Eye

I think these are both Cat's Eyes, maybe foreign. The white inclusion you see is a piece of oven brick. And bananas are usually associated with the Peltier marble company, and I do not believe either of these are Peltiers.

This one also looks like a slag to me. But I can't really see enough in the pics to try and determine a maker or weather it is a transitional type.

This one looks like a slag marble to me - perhaps Akro.

I would guess it is since the marbles look like JABOs and foreign Cat's Eyes but I would try to get confirmation from @Al Oregon to be sure.

The first looks like a newer confetti style marble. The second is an old German cane-cut hand-made, an Indian I believe. The third falls among marbles known as West Virginia Swirls. It may be Alley or Ravenswood. The last one is interesting but I would need more pics to tell what it might be.

No, this is a Black Line All Red. The most common Blackies have the same color on both poles, with a (usually) much thicker black band around the middle.

Aqua, it's not so uncommon on those older types. That one's getting close to what is called an Aquamarine.

That's a Conqueror - they can get wonky when they get bigger

Yeah, I really have no idea what it is. All I can think of is Vacor or maybe Asian.

If it's American, I might be able to see MK but not Vitro.
