  1. Nice Marbles, William. Of course, I especially like the brown one!
  2. That's right, Chris. I guess I didn't have the words right. I assume the round boules are used on your village court?

    Pelt?

Look at the edges of the ribbons. To me, it looks more like white thinning out over black than the other way around. Use a magnifier if you have to - you should be able to tell.

    Pelt?

    Ain't marbles fun! lol.
  5. Popeyes have transparent clear, whispy white and at least two other colors - red with yellow, and green with yellow, are the most common color combinations, but there are others, and exceptional examples can have three or four colors with the white and transparent glass.
  6. Thanks for posting that oddball Gladys - it was all kinds of fun!
  7. It is handy, I used it fairly often in my past life. lol
  8. It'd be interesting to know what the high bidder's highest bid was. I think they got a deal, and I'll bet they do too.
  9. A single 5/8" marble weighs 0.19 oz according to this site. That's about 84 5/8" mibs/lb.
  10. It's a little hard to tell from the pics if they're bocce balls or boulles. Boules aren't perfectly round - they're ellipsoids.
  11. Heaton would be about the only other possibility, and I'm not really seeing it.
  12. It's apparetly even more messed up than I thought. lol.
  13. My only hesitation would be that it's some kind of a newer MK that I am not familiar with. That long seam I see in your new pics makes me wonder a bit. Imagine a white patch where the open area is in your last pic and the blue pushed up into ribbons, and you've got an MK patch and ribbon. In fact, I am now thinking it's not Vitro at all - sorry.
  14. How many Vitros do you see that have two same-colored polar patches and two white equatorial ribbons on a transparent base?
  15. Just what I thought, it's very unusual. Now I wonder about MK possibilities.
  16. Why not a twisted All Red with yellow and red patches?
  17. What would you call Gladys' marble, Ron? Two blue patches and two white equatorial ribbons? Here it is:
  18. It seems to be on transparent base-glass, a back-lit pic would confirm that.
  19. A weird Peltier is what I'm thinking.
