  1. Here's a little better shot of my "moon" key ring marble . . .
  2. Thanks, Stephen. Vitros and Kokomos are about the only marbles with cut lines that I actually collect.
  3. I've had these two on my key chains for years and years.

    Orange Slag

I'd consider the German striped transparent a type of slag. And I've seen this sort of "damage" on a number of old marbles. I think it may have been intentionally done with a file or blade of some sort to produce a thumbnail hold so the shooter could get better 'english' on their shots.
  5. Had to ask, since these are all about 11/16".

I believe you, Rick. It's like Art said, that transparent color is notoriously tough to capture. Putting it on a yellow background with good lighting might help.
  7. Boy howdy, Stephen, these are great mibs! I like the old ones with a lot of transparent glass - great examples. I'll bet the 3rd one is a little oversized- 11/16"?
  8. So . . . about two bucks and change? ☺️
  9. Good luck with that, Art. I'll be hoping it all goes splendidly, and that you have a quick recovery!
  10. Similar maybe, but I see a good bit of transparent orange in Art's. I have some like yours and as I recall they are opaque. And these pics actually look pretty good compared to others I've seen, so whatever you're doing now, keep doing it.

Looks like a German striped transparent to me.

    MK

I think newer but not too new. I have no real idea of when it was made though - maybe 1990s-2000s?
  13. Flat side or not, the first one is great!
  14. They look like newer MKs or maybe foreign, at least to me.
  15. Why not a big Vitro gone wild? I see two cut lines.
  16. I didn't know they made them this big. Is it an 80s marble?

    .62 Akro?

They're not too uncommon for an old Vitro.
  18. Third mib in the first row and 6th mib in the 3rd row look unusual to me. And the yellow on white are the least common of the common white-based ones.
