    And this one ?

That's a pretty one too - it looks a lot like a Vitro Conqueror.
  2. Ric

    Handmade ?

I think it is a Sparkler but I don't think it's handmade - pretty marble.

    ID PLZ

They look like melted pontil transitionals but they look newer to me. I think some of these types were made in Bulgaria more recently, but I am not entirely sure.

    American ?

Slags are usually just colored transparent glass and opaque white. This one looks to have a lot of white, but it's often hard to tell without the marble in hand. If you look with a light, what would you say the ratio is - more white than transparent or more transparent than white?
  5. That's a neat marble - Navarre comes to mind, but I don't think the pontil looks quite right for a transitional either - maybe it's a melted pontil trans, maybe?

    American ?

I agree, is there a lot of transparency?
  7. I agree, there's just not much structure to go on for an ID.

    Crazy Alley - nice!
  9. That's a great photo - the marbles have been harder for me to find than I thought they might be.
  10. Apology accepted. Marble collecting can be frustrating. But if you stick around, check out the Study Hall, follow the ID forum and have some fun around here for a while, you can certainly learn about vintage marbles. There are lot's of people here willing to help.
  11. That's a cool find. They look vintage to me.- Vitro, Peltier, Alley, etc. Some of them appear to be egg-shaped or out of round. Are they? Or is it just me?
  12. If I have made a mistake, please correct me. What sort of marbles do you have there?
  13. I agree that most of the marbles are newer, and many of them are Asian-made. There is nothing here that is jumping out at me as a "really cool" vintage marble.
  14. Welcome, It looks like you have a nice mix of vintage marbles. In general, marbles with more colors are more desirable than those with fewer colors. Although, some marbles have value even if there are only one or two colors. Size is important too. But condition is probably the most important thing to collectors. Like any other glassware, small chips and scratches can have a very significant impact on the value of a collectible marble. That said, good pictures are key to determining a marble's value. So if you want good advice, you will have to post only a few marbles at a time and show multiple views of each marble. That done, people here will be more than happy to help you, because we love looking at marbles. A few are already capturing my attention and I looking forward to seeing what you have.
  15. It's hard to tell what's marble and what's reflection so it's hard to say.
  16. I do have some crazy Conquerors with that internal structure, so I'm seriously like 50/50. I just don't recall that bright blue on a Conqueror type.
  17. Look close, Tommy. First, the base glass is really different. The "patch" on the Kokomo doesn't thin out in the middle like these, and the Kokomo also only has one ribbon opposite the "patch". I wouldn't expect to find many too many of them. Kokomo made a minuscule number compared to Peltier - probably like 1:1,000,000, maybe not even that.
  18. Both Pelt Rainbos, IMO.
  19. I was going back and forth but the blue and the seam in the last pic looks a bit more Akro to me.
  20. The first one looks most like one a Master "snow globe", but the others don't really look American-made to me.

    Pelt Rainbo

I have seen one, but I think I gave it to someone - maybe Al.
  22. I think the first and second one are Vitro. The third is Akro.
  23. Put a good light through the second one (not too bright) and see if it has any opalescence.
