  1. I think some of the hollow ones were packaged with old Wolverine toys.
  2. It's an oddball - looks like an Inky base.
  3. It's Vitro - might be a Blackie but it looks a bit more like a Yellow jacket to me. Either way, it's missing some color - yellow for a Blackie, likely red or blue for a Yellow Jacket.
  4. Here's the Specifications Page
  5. I just noticed, it says No. 0 on the bag but the mibs are 1/2" - those would be No. 000 here, right?
  6. It's a modern marble. Not sure who did the printing but I don't think JABO.
  7. I think the blue & white could be Alley too - that's batch glass white, for sure.

    Odd cats eye

Foreign, for sure. I've seen some where the only fractures are in the vanes, but this one looks like it's got a big fracture in the base glass too, and they can look pretty weird.
  9. Hmmm, flaming eagle is new to me too. Which marble are you talking about? I'll guess the green based one on the left?
  10. Where is that reflection in the marbles coming from? It look pretty cool.
  11. The bag and mibs are new to me - nice wee ones, though.
  12. Rick! Nice to have you back here! I'll be interested in the WV swirls, of course.
  13. This is the first one I've seen - kinda cool. The design looks like it's been applied to the marble, but I have no idea, who, what, where or when.
  14. The ones on the left in the first pic do look like "gems" - they are usually relatively uniform in size and shape. The others look pretty random - much more like "production fails", IMO.
  15. I think those are going to be pretty cool, Joep - colored "purees" might look even better. 👍
  16. NIce Vitro Tri-Lites - Aquamarines on the right, I think.
  17. Nice displays! Is it wrong that this is what really caught my eye? Those are some nice fish too!

    Stone Marbles

I have no clue what kind of stone, but I would be interested to know too.
  19. I think they're both Vitro Tri-lites. But I might be able to see Akro on the second one.
  20. This is very sad. David was a gentle soul. He had a real flair for life, in general, and writing about marbles, in particular. Whenever I received something from him in the mail it was always a treat. He took a lot of care and time with packaging and presentation, always unique, and always included a hand-written letter. He was one of a kind, and he will be missed.
  21. These are not Vitro, much more likely Asian.
  22. That's a good looking group, Bill - the light blue on that middle one is nice. I always like to have examples of different sizes - the marbles always seem to look better when you mix different sizes together.
  23. I do not think these are mica. I am not certain, but they look mostly like Master marbles to me. They made some that are loaded with white flakes. In fact, some folks refer to them as "snow globes". I don't think I have seen others with this pale blue color though.
  24. $20 seems steep to me. They appear to be a variety of pretty typical stones and dyed clay marbles (and maybe steel ball bearing or two), and the glass marbles appear to be worthless, regardless of what they actually are. I would not buy them.
