The last site of Alley production was in St. Mary's WV. I think they operated there for about 10 years prior to closing in the late 1940s. Sistersville was Alleys second site. It operated for about 2 years in the early 1930s.
Alleys are great marbles. And since I see a couple of Sistersville marbles in your group, I'll start by referring folks to a post I made a few years ago:
It might be, but from this one view, I wouldn't count on it. As an aside, I don't think Pelt collectors today would call that color combination a John Deere.

I assume you're talking about the green base - kinda hard to tell what it is from the single view, what are you thinking? The other marbles look unremarkable to me.
And he is not wrong. Transitionals are hand-gathered, cut off, and rounded on a machine, and while the "nine" on this marble is weak, it's definitely there - that's a budding marble collector, for sure!
