  1. Nice Winnie, I like that red, turquoise and yellow patch with white and clear upper right - a great combination.
  2. Winnie, Oxblood or not, that marble speaks to me. I think it's really sweet!
  3. I really hope the person that bought this was looking at the marble he posted and not their own copy of the book and the pic he referenced. No returns . . . wow . . . and it's not like they even look that similar . . .
  4. I always enjoy seeing your creativity, Bob. Another interesting shot. I'll board the Akro bus too.
  5. Winnie, The seashell pattern on that one is really cool!
  6. Cool, Duffy . . . sorta looks like a horseshoe cat gone wild.
  7. Nice marbles all. I really like that O'Grady. Here's one of my new favorites. Unfortunately, these photos don't do it justice.
  8. I agree with "marble", and a pretty one too! lol
  9. It is good to see you back, Bruce. I'm glad things are looking up!
  10. Decent for sure . . I like the P&R style. Nice structure and great colors! And big to boot!
  11. Thanks for the input guys. German is what I was thinking but I don't yet have enough experience with these types to be confident in my assessment.
  12. A real nice peewee for sure - nice find.
  13. All from the same group. The biggest is just over 3/4" . . . German or CAC or . . . ? Any thoughts?
  14. Nice marbles and nice size too. Is the ribbon color on both r/w/b/w/r?
  15. Sweet marbles. Clyde, Is it big? I thought that Jolly Rogers were cork screws and Claudias were patches, and that both were orange and blue. Have I got names wrong again?
  16. I have no doubt that this bag is old. Champion filled a lot of Penny King poly bags. I have a couple of the 20-count bags but had not seen a 40-count like this before. I think Champion probably labeled too many bags for a Penny King order, or came up with too many in some other way, and just put their own header over the first label for another customer.
  17. I picked up a nice Champion poly bag at the Iowa show. As you can see, it had two headers applied. I carefully opened the outer staples so I could get a look at the bottom label . . . . . . not too surprising.
  18. Those are cool, Dave. It seems you've found some interesting stuff. All the trade beads I am familiar with are drilled all the way through. These seem pretty large for beads too but . . .?
  19. Cool black stripe, Galen. The green on a red face is cool too. In my experience, helmets with a stripe other than red or orange are less common - yellow on a green face seems to be one of the more common of them.
  20. Very cool, Dave . . . Anti-Spotted Dicks . . .?
  21. I agree that the big ones and multicolored ones are harder to find. I also think that the "pinchers" or Mt. Fuji's are distinct from the Wales marbles but . . .? These are as found in a tin-litho Whitman chinese checkers game.
  22. Nice group - thanks for posting them. When you say pink base, are you referring to transparent base glass . . . maybe the color some refer to as peach? I have several of those. In my experience, they are not as uncommon as ones with brick/blood stripes. I only have a couple of those. They are all kept with my Vitros.
